Roblox Steals a Brainrot Dev Sues Fortnite Game Creator
Unfortunately, it seems outrageous popularity Steal a brain root has caused a copycat to appear within Fortnite. The developer Spyder Games, who created the original Steal a Brainrot Roblox game, filed a lawsuit against a person named Thomas Van Der Voort, the creator of a Fortnite the game is called To steal brain roots. Spyder Games claims To steal brain roots is a copy of its own game, Steal a brain rootand infringes its copyright. The game appeared in Fortnite back in July, and Spyder Games' legal representation claims the title has been copied Steal a brain roots “protectable expression”, including art and game design. Spyder Games' goal is to get the game away from Fortnite the platform and any profits generated from it to be handed over to the developer of the original Roblox game. As of this writing, the map appears to have been disabled Fortnitealthough it is not clear if it was a move on the part of Epic Games or the creator of To steal brain roots.
While the developer's main goal seems to be to protect the original Roblox steals a brain root game, take down To steal brain roots would probably also help another Fortnite title. Another version of Roblox steals a brain root games, called Steal The Brainrotis an officially licensed version that has permission to run on Fortnite platform. Given the similarities between the titles, themes and gameplay, it's entirely possible that some Fortnite players have stumbled into the alleged breach To steal brain roots instead of playing Steal the Brain Root. While Steal The Brainrot have seen a lot of success in Fortniteremove To steal brain roots would likely lead even more players to the licensed title.
Since this case was first filed on October 23, there has been no official public response from the developer behind the alleged copycat game yet. It remains to be seen if the defendant tries to contest the lawsuit, but given the almost identical titles and extremely similar gameplay, in such an event, it would likely be difficult for Van Der Voort to prevail. Meanwhile, players who may have stumbled in by mistake To steal brain roots might want to check out the officially licensed one Steal The Brainrot within Fortniteor the original version i Roblox.
