Battlefield 6 Leaks Possible Battle Royale Release Date

Neither EA nor DICE have confirmed when fans will be able to jump into the long-awaited Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6but new leaks seem to confirm that the studios intend to shadow its release with Season 1 on October 28. This release date had already been leaked by an industry insider earlier in the year, but now one Battlefield 6 data miner has uncovered evidence via the EA Play app that references a mysterious content drop for next week.

Season 1 of Battlefield 6 will go live next week, and while there's been no official word on a Battle Royale mode releasing with the patch, EA and DICE have revealed tons of information about the shooter's new map, mode, weapons, and more. The season will be split into three major content updates, with the first coming on October 28th. The second, which will feature another map for players to jump into, will then arrive on November 18th, followed by the final major update of the season on December 9th.

Battlefield 6's Battle Royale may come with Season 1

Back in September, industry insider ModernWarzone revealed that the potential release window for Battlefield 6Battle Royale mode was at the end of October. This date then appears to have been narrowed down to October 28th when EA revealed details of the game's Season 1 update. While this information came from an anonymous source and has yet to be confirmed by EA, further evidence has now surfaced from data miner Onebattlefield, who recently discovered backend data from the EA Play app that references a content release separate from Season 1, but for the same day: October 28th.

It seems increasingly likely that the mode will be shadow released on October 28, which would follow in the footsteps of Call of Duty: Warzonelaunches in 2020, but fans should take this information with a grain of salt until confirmed by EA or DICE. What has been revealed about the situation is that Battlefield 6s Battle Royale will offer a unique spin on the genre, with what EA calls the “deadliest ring in Battle Royale.” While games such as War zone and Fortnite allow players to use the storm circle to their advantage, jumping in and out to catch opponents off guard, Battlefield 6s will kill players instantly on contact.

Halo's co-creators are calling out Battlefield 6 for not properly crediting the Ridgeline Games staff.

A leak from earlier this week also revealed the game modes which Battlefield 6s Battle Royale can start with. If the information is accurate, fans can expect to find the usual Solos, Duos, Trios and Quads at launch, as well as a new Gauntlet mode that will see different squads complete a series of missions with the team with the lowest points per mission eliminated. The last team standing will then be crowned the winner.
