Costco announced that members will soon be able to purchase one PS5 Slim Disc Drive bundle with an additional DualSense controller for $479.99 during its annual Black Friday Weekend sale. Costco shared its Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals a week in advance, with the PS5 Slim joining other gadgets like the Meta Quest 3S VR headset on the retailer's seasonal deals.
The upcoming PS5 Slim bundle discount was revealed a month before Black Friday. Costco's upcoming sale will also come at a convenient time for consumers, following Sony's PS5 price changes in the US. Due to the Trump administration's tariffs on goods from various countries, including China, the price of the PS5 Slim Disc and digital editions increased to $549 and $499, respectively, while the PS5 Pro jumped to $749. The $50 across-the-board increase doesn't currently affect any PS5 controllers and accessories, though those are subject to change.
Costco reveals Black Friday PS5 bundle deal
But shoppers looking to get a new PS5 console for the holidays will have at least one deal to consider. Costco will sell a PS5 Slim Disc Edition bundle that includes an additional DualSense controller for $479.99 during the Black Friday weekend, from November 28th to December 1st. The deal will also have an early start period on November 21. However, all of Costco's offers are exclusive to customers with a Costco Gold Star or Executive membership of $3.05 per year and an annual fee. Purchases can be made in store and online while supplies last. The bundle will also be significantly cheaper than the current $599.99 in-store price that Costco is offering. Along with the PS5 Slim bundle, Costco's other Black Friday deals include a $50 discount on the Meta Quest 3S 128GB VR headset, bringing it down to $249, and an MSI 27-inch 1440p monitor for $150.
Customers looking to get an Xbox Series X/S for Black Friday at Costco are out of luck. In September, Costco began clearing out its inventory of Xbox systems, and a Costco spokesperson confirmed that the move was “a business decision” by the retailer. Costco clarified that it had no plans to restock the Xbox Series X/S going forward, but maintaining a sufficient inventory of PlayStation and Nintendo consoles will be its focus.
With games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Where Winds Meet arrives in November, and big hits that Marvel's Wolverine and Grand Theft Auto 6 lined up for 2026, the PS5's lineup shows no signs of slowing down. It remains to be seen how many PS5 consoles Costco will sell this Christmas shopping season.
