While you'll probably take a few days in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance before you start focusing more on the game's side content, you have nine different life skills that you can work on mastering! You will earn a variety of materials that will help you stay powerful even into the endgame.
You'll be relying on Focus to level up all of your life skills in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, so if you're looking for a tip on how best to spend your limited daily Focus to level up one of the life skills, we've got some suggestions in the list below.
Cooking
An adventurer has to eat, sometimes
Adventure is pretty busy, we're sure, so you'll probably want some snacks to refuel, so pick your ingredients, choose a recipe, make sure you're doing the right thing, and get cooking. Whatever you do is sure to provide plenty of helpful buffs the next time you're out fighting a fearsome foe.
Fish help with physical buffs while meat products offer magical buffs, and you'll complement the recipe with fruit and forage from your botanical skill, whipping up a variety of dishes that provide temporary buffs in battle.
Alchemy
Brewing up potions and dyes
Another life skill in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance that mostly serves as a source of temporary combat boosts, the Alchemy life skill also has the benefit of offering additional ways to customize cosmetics you've spent your hard-earned Rose Orbs to unlock. There are tons of recipes to discover and unlock through this ability!
You'll see Alchemy tie in with both Botany (with the flowers you need for your brews) and Gemology (for the pigments needed in your sprays), so you've got your work cut out for you with other skills here too. But if you're looking for combat boosts and fun new looks, Alchemy is the way to go.
Gemology
Oh, shiny!
You'll be running around a lot as you explore through Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, so make sure you start learning the Gemology life skill as soon as possible! Doing so allows you to see all available gems out in the world and mine them to use for your Gemcrafting needs when you return to a town.
Vitality becomes increasingly potent as you work to upgrade your talent nodes, whether it's individual gems depending on your class's individual needs (since gems give specific stats) or in terms of general gem mining abilities as well!
Mineralogy
Melt something special with these finds
Similar in nature to Gemology above, mineralogical life skills in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance allow you to start collecting mined materials while you're out on your main story expeditions and all those helpful side quests, but with ores instead of gems! You will find four different ores in the game, and each one can be used when smelting.
The equipment these minerals allow you to craft and refine can be indispensable to certain classes as they level up and begin to specialize, so it's never a bad idea to start collecting some early while you're out and about.
Weaving
You wouldn't roll your eyes
Weaving is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to life skills, as the dyes you'll make for your Homestead furniture aren't as mission-critical, but the gear you'll make for some of your ranged fighters can make a big difference when you head back into battle, especially once you've chosen your specialty.
If it's not furniture for the Homestead or equipment for your ranged fighters, you also get access to charm crafting that can provide a plethora of stat boosts for virtually any character you play, regardless of class.
Melting
Gear upgrades and refining materials galore
While the gear you've found in the world on your expeditions and a variety of side quests is quite useful in the early parts of the game, and what you can create through other life skills can be incredibly valuable, once you start refining your gear to make your characters even more powerful, you just need to work on your Smelting life skill.
The ingots you'll craft with the ores from your Minerology skill are used to craft all sorts of weapons, gear, armor, and the furniture you decorate your Homestead with. We can respect a life skill with so much use both in the heat of battle and in the heat of the Homestead!
Botany
Mother Nature's material
The botanical life skill is perhaps one of the most important in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance just because of how much it fits in with several of your other life skills as well. Whether it's the floral ingredients you need to brew up the strongest concoctions in the alchemy skill or getting ingredients to use when cooking, you'll need almost the life knowledge of botany before long.
Another life skill that relies on a simple gathering mechanic iconic to building life skills in classic MMOs, you'll find a plethora of mushrooms, fruits and herbs while out on your adventures that can be taken home and used in all sorts of different ways.
Gemcrafting
Stun your best items for helpful boosters
If you've been pretty keen with your Gemology while you're out blasting the world in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, you'll likely come back to Hamilton with a bag full of gems just waiting to be refined and slotted. For players who have honed their Gemology, make sure you get the most of the fruits of your labor with the Gemcrafting life skill.
Gems can be refined into multiple forms that unlock levels as you find yourself getting better and better at the life skill, and then crafted into bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and rings that your character can wear to give some sweet stat boosts to whatever stats their class needs to build to get better on the field.
Craftsman
Whip up weapons and wooden furniture
Some of the most powerful support classes, both the Verdant Oracle and Beat Performer classes, as well as some powerful attackers in the Frost Mage class and both specs of the Marksman class, can benefit from the Artisanry life skill in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, as it allows you to craft all kinds of weapons to use the next time you go into battle.
If you're more of a Homestead player, though, fear not, because the crafting skill is also how you'll learn to craft all kinds of wooden furniture that you can use to decorate, especially in conjunction with some of the dyes you made with the alchemy skill!
