What happens if you choose "Adieu, Lumiose!" in Pokemon Legends ZA?

After playing through the fairly long tutorial section, Pokemon Legends: ZA players will finally be free to explore Lumiose City on their own. One of the many places they will be able to visit is the train station from the beginning of the game, and there just so happens to be a train going to the airport just sitting on the platform.

If players try to enter the station, a dialog will appear asking them if they want to stay in Lumiose or leave. Of course some Pokemon Legends: ZA players will wonder what happens if you leave Lumiose City, especially as the game seems to be trying pretty hard to get players to choose the “I stay in Lumiose” option.

What happens if you try to leave Lumiose City? (Adieu, Lumiose!)

If players choose “Adieu, Lumiose!” alternatively, the game will ask them if they are sure, and they will again be faced with the same choice. Choosing “Adieu, Lumiose!” three times will result in the playable character boarding the train and the screen fading to black. However, after a few short moments, it is revealed that the player had fallen asleep on a bench outside the Vert Pokemon Center and never actually boarded the train. Players can repeat this process as many times as they want, but it is not actually possible to leave Lumiose City in Pokemon Legends: ZA. At least not until the Mega Dimension DLC is released, anyway.
