I had no interest in Battlefield 6's Battle Royale mode before this reveals, but now I'm hyped

There is no shortage of Battle Royale options for those interested in the genre, with even more attempts to recreate the success of the heavy hitters that have fallen flat. I have dropped in Pubg and H1Z1dropped some time in Top legends early and played hours of Call of Duty: Warzone and Fortnite over the years. And while I've had my fun fighting in the last circle, secure Victory Royales, collecting skins and so on, the intensity of the genre has begun to fade. I am no longer excited to play Battle Royale games, which instead of feeling adrenaline or shaky when I am the last living in my squad, I have won enough matches to where I am simply indifferent to the pressure.

This declining interest in the genre has left me less enthusiastic Battlefield 6Firestorm Battle Royale mode than I would have been years ago. I missed the boat on BF5S short-lived BR mode, has become tired of War zonerely on Verdansk and Rebirth Island and feel like I've missed too much to get back to the Apex legends, so of course I thought I would ignore Battlefield 6Try a similar experience. But the revelation that its storm will immediately kill players have aroused my interest, because the more I think about it, the more I realize that all BR games I have played share a question that this strategy will fix: storm campers.

My favorite battle royale -mode ever was Black Ops 4Blackout, which unfortunately has a cheat problem and has lost many players because they are older and behind a pay wall.

Battle Royale -genre's “rat” strategy has become old

Save a teammate from the storm

Battle Royale matches are supposed to be increasingly nerve-wracking as the timer ticks down, goes from a fairly tame early match experience with lots of looting and a little struggling to an intense war to be the last survivor. Whether the storm is made of gas, energy or fire, it is intended to push players to approach enemies before the best of the best is eventually pit against each other. Unfortunately, some Battle Royale players have calculated that they can win by hardly fighting at all, and although this initially led to some fun clips, it has become incredibly common over the years.

Instead of plundering strong weapons to fight against other players with, these types of players will hammer healing items so they can surpass combat -focused players by hiding in a corner or one of Fortnites bushes. If these sneak players can find like-minded Battle Royale fans to group themselves, they can get their allies work as an extra source of health articles or tools as Call of Duty: WarzoneGas masks, so that they can last even further than if they had to rely on their own prey. To be fair to the current games in the Battle Royale genre, it has been attempted to make this strategy less efficient, such as increased storm damage as the match continues. Nevertheless, it is annoyingly common to see and far too effective during a match, as storm riding mainly defeats the purpose of the storm by making it less threatening.

Battlefield 6's Firestorm means instant death, and that's an instant gain

Perhaps it is this lack of storm intensity that has made me bored by Battle Royale games, since the most unique aspect of the genre has become something of a reflection. Fortunately, if this is really the case, the latest post in the Battlefield series has me covered. Before the BF Labs test for Battlefield 6S BR mode, EA shared a long blog post that covers several aspects of the experience, for example:

  • Battlefield 6'S Battle Royale Map, which will have “a variety of tactical interesting points” with “distinct layouts and themes.”
  • Vehicles, ranging from joint transport options to “unpleasant” and “powerful” armored vehicles.

  • Tactical destruction, which will work just as it does in Battlefield 6Multiplayer.

  • Class characteristics such as in multiplayer, which can be leveled faster through collectibles or completion of assignments, which apparently acts as Call of Duty: Warzones contract.

  • Other chance tools such as support class resuscitation and a “mobile redistribution” mechanic.

But while all this sound that promises enough, it is the ripple effect that flags “the deadliest ring in BR” that finally caught my eye. Players will not be able to jump in and out of the ring for cheesy kills that use low visibility to get an edge, as the touch of the storm directly puts the player's character aflame and kills them, which should make a more fair and quick -term experience. Each circle should be full of players now, which makes the early and the center of the game parts of the match less of a beat. While I had expected to try Battlefield 6S BR mode once or twice before I release it in favor of traditional multiplayer, there is now a real chance that I play it often and bikes between BF6Official Multiplayer playlists, its Battle Royale and Battlefield Portal constantly.
