We want MTG to stop writing about these cards

With so many sets and commanders released for magic: The collection every year, there are many, many reprints. Sometimes they are much appreciated because old cards get a new printout, which makes them much more accessible.

However, this is not always good. There are a handful of cards that have seen too many reprints, so seeing them in a product develops a moan. Reprints are fantastic and overall healthy for the game, but not every card needs to be constantly pressed on the ground.

Etali, primal storm

Primary moan

MTG ETALI, primarily storm card with the art in the background.

Etali, Primal Storm has seen so many reprints in commander products that it is difficult to find a red commander who does not have ETALI in itself. It has been in standard sets, commanders and even secret Lairs with special art treatments.

The big problem is Etali, primary storm is not even good for a card. It's good, don't make me wrong, but there are so many better cards you can cheat (including ethis other cards). Etali is expensive to develop, and for the most part it is removed before you do anything.

String command

Generic board drying

MTG Austere Command Card with the art in the background.

Look, Austere Command is not a terrible card in any way. It is a solid board that can meet all different types of permanently. But with so many other bridges, seeing a tight command be the one included in Precons becomes tiring.

Board Wipes is an important part of magic, so it makes sense that almost all commanders of Precon include them. White has so many bridges that it only desperately needs some variation instead of penetrating into a hard command for another time.

Draw from tomorrow

Leave yesterday

MTG pulls from the morning card with the art in the background.

Draw from tomorrow for a while to see some reprint before he was constantly pressed into back-to-back commanders. If a Blue Drawspell wants to be included, pull from tomorrow seems to be go-to.

Unfortunately, Dul from tomorrow is not a very good card. It is a basic immediate speed pull, but one you have to dump lots of mana in to make it useful. There are so many better features that can be reprinted instead, both in Mono Blue and in different color pairs. Please, let go from tomorrow stay in the past and embrace new, much better move magic formulas.

Feed the swarm

Enchanted reprint

MTG feeds the swarm with the art in the background.

Feed the Swarm is a solid card. It is one of the few ways for Mono Black to remove enchantments, which is sometimes necessary, as some enchantments can completely remove your master from the game.

It is good to feed the swarm is so accessible, but it has been printed so many times. Practically every black -based commander has feed the swarm in it. Although it really makes sense, it may be time for a new card to take over. Let's try to add some variety, at least.

Harmonize

Boring short draw

MTG harmonize cards with the art in the background.

For some reason, magic has a problem when it comes to including drag formulas in precursors and bonus sheets. When it comes to green card drawings, harmonization is always there without failing.

Harmonize has a good effect, drawing three cards is good, although it is good to cost four mana on the weaker side of things. When it comes to having to cut a card, harmonization is usually first on the chop block, and it is a card that does not need the constant reprints it has.

Evolving Wilds

Better country please

MTG Evolving Wilds Card with the art in the background.

Evolving Wilds is the budget for all the budget, which lets you just bring in a basic country. Playing to develop wilds never feels good, and for the most part you would rather just play a basic country instead.

There are so many better countries that can be reprinted instead of this card. For example, a transmitable passage is another Fetchland that can only grab basic countries, but it is much better because there is at least one chance that the ground can come in unused. If these two countries two could change frequency, it would be good.

Framing balots

Landfall all the time

MTG Rampaging Baloths card with the art in the background.

Let me be clear that ramping balots is a good card. It is a landfall payment that helps you flood the battlefield with 4/4 beast tokens. The problem comes from how often it is printed again. It has been repressed in various products, from Commander Precons to Jumpstart sets, every year.

While rampaging balots are good, there are many other amazing green cards that are begging to be printed. At this point, you can get Ramping Baloth's copies for less than a dollar, while other green cards you have to break the bank to get. Give another green creature a chance to shine, ramp balots.

Ghalta, primal hunger

Great creature, weak all

Mtg Ghalta, Primal Hunger Card with the art in the background.

A 12/12 with tramp is a very good state line and ability, especially when it can be cast at a discount depending on your battlefield. But when it has no forms of protection, it will not remain on the battlefield for long.

Ghala, Primal Hunger feels more like a card that continues to show up to get newer players happy to see such a great creature. Their hopes will only be dashed when it gets doom Bladed. It's not that good of a card, and one that really doesn't need as many reprints as it has had.

Soltitan

Sunset Sun Titan

Mtg Sun Titan card with the art in the background.

You would be hard pressed to find any commander who has white who does not include Sun Titan. Even in Bloomburrow, a set that is the main glimpse was that it had no people on the plane, Sun Titan Weasel had himself in advance (and not even like a Weasel).

Sun Titan is not necessarily a bad card, but when you see the same card over and over, its news is worning. For the most part, Sun Titan also comes with the same art. If at least it had more unique art, it would still be bad to see a different pressure, but it would feel a little better.

Zetalpa, Primal Dawn

1-800 Pleas stop

MTG Zetalpa, Primal Dawn -card with the art in the background.

For some reason, the older dinosaurs from Ixalan share the property of being reprinted far too much, with Zetalpa, Primal Dawn is the most notorious of gang. Zetalpa is keyword soup, and they are good keywords, but eight mana for a creature without affecting abilities is rarely worth it.

At least the other older dinosaurs, such as Etali, have an interesting effect. Zetalpa just sits around hiding behind his abilities. Zetalpa was a bulk rare when released, and it is certainly a bulk card now with how much it has been unnecessarily printed.
