Super Robot Wars Y is a tactical RPG that takes some of the most popular Meecha franchise ever created and combines them all into a massive crossover section. In general, the game is nothing special; The main reason for playing Super Robot Wars is to see your favorite mechanics fight with each other, all with their stylish signature attacks made in beautiful animations.
The Super Robot Wars series has presented dozens of various anime series over the years, with Super Robot Wars Y who continues this trend. From Gundam to Getter Robo, these are the best Mecha -Anime series found in Super Robot Wars Y.
Mobile costume Gundam: Char's coach attack
Char's Counter attack is an important clock not only for the Gundam of the Universal Century, but also for Mecha fans in general. This anime movie is the culmination of the universal century until that point, with Amuro Ray, the pilot of the original Gundam, who returns as the main character as he fights against his long-standing rival, Char Aznable.
Char's counter attack has some of the most iconic mobile costumes ever designed, as now Gundam and Char's Sazabi, both of which are in Super Robot Wars Y. Char's Counter Attack's influence cannot be underestimated, and it is definitely one of the best series represented in this game.
Aura Battle Dunbine
Aura Battle Dunbine is a dark and experimental iskai Mecha -Anime from the Gundam Series creator Yoshiyuki Tomino. The series protagonist, Sho Zama, is transported to Byston Well, a parallel fantasy world where people fight in insectoid Mechas called Aura Bathers and use their life energy to give them power.
Aura Battle Dunbine is an extremely unique cross of genres, but its dark themes pull everything together into an unforgettable experience. The Mecha design also differs greatly from the typical real robot designs found in Gundam, and you can find both Dunbine and Sirbine in Super Robot Wars Y.
Mobile costume Gundam: The Witch From Mercury
The witch from Merkurius is located in one of Gundam's many alternative universes, where technology konglomrates control the galaxy and Gundams (or gund arms) are prohibited. Suletta Mercury is Pilotera Gundam antenna and goes to a school for technology and is located in a series of duels to determine the fate of their students.
The Witch from Mercury has one of the most unique premises among all the different Gundam series, which allows it to explore the intersection between technology and humanity in a unique way. The mobile suit structures are also first class, with flight and chuchus demi coaches that appear in Super Robot Wars Y.
Goats Robo Arc
Getter Robo Arc is a sequel to both Shin Getter Robo and Goats Robo Go, after Hayato Jin as he leads a new team of goats Robo pilots against a mysterious foreign threat called the Andromeda stellar.
Getter Robo is a long-lasting staple in the Super Robot Wars franchise, but most items contained goats Robo G or Apocalypse, so focus on a new part of the story (and its associated Mecha) is much appreciated. Getter Robo Arc is an incredible mobile suit and deserves more recognition.
Mobile costume Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz
Endless Waltz is a sequel to Gundam Wing and continues the story of his five Gundam pilots and the plot around Operation Meteor. The original wing was the first Gundam anime to be broadcast in the West, so it is the first that many long Gundam fans have seen and has a special place in many fans hearts.
Endless Waltz updates the five main pilots' mobile costumes, and they are all included in Super Robot Wars Y, as well as the beloved Tallgeese 3. Wing Zero alone is one of the most iconic Gundam Mobile Verkeys ever created, so it's great to see it and the other wing suits return to Super Robot Wars.
Code GEASS: Lelouch of the Rebellion III Glorification
Lelouch of the Rebellion 3 – Glorification is the third part of a series of films that adapt the original code's anime. At least the films started as an adaptation, but are actually set in an alternative timeline, so some things play out differently. Its sequel, Lelouch of the Re; Surrection, also makes a performance in Super Robot Wars Y to give a more complete role of Mechs.
Code Geass as a whole is up there with Evangelion in becoming a mainstream Mecha -Anime outside Gundam, and its representation in Super Robot Wars Y is wonderfully done. Code Geass is different from other Mecha -Anime with its exciting story and Geas forces, and Lelouch is still one of the most memorable protagonists in any anime series.
Mobile Fighting G Gundam
For the most part, Gundam is a fairly founded series. After all, it mainly invented the “real robot” Mecha subgenre. But Mobile Fighter G Gundam is anything but grounded (it's really one of the most unpleasant anime we've ever seen), and that's all the better for it.
The basic act is that the entire human civilization determines who is allowed to drive things through a tournament on earth with Gundams, where the last standing will control the rest of society. The series has some of the best mobile costumes in the franchise, including Burning Gundam and Nobel Gundam (which is literally just Sailor Moon), both of which appear in Super Robot Wars Y.
