Things you need to know when you start playing the bazaar

The bazaar Is a card game where you do not build tires or actively play matches. You just prepare your boards, with the cards (called “articles” in the game) already displaced, and you cannot move or change them under your battles. They attack or activate over time, and you can just wait and see what happens.

Given the core of the game and its roguelike mechanics, there is much to learn, and it can be overwhelmingly quite simple. Fortunately, you will learn everything you need in this beginner's guide, with some useful tips and things to avoid for your first runs in the bazaar.

Keeping an eye on your times is important

The Recap screen for a match between Vanessa and Stelle in early driving in the bazaar.

The Bazaaren has many mechanics and systems on systems, but perhaps one of the most important is to think about the cooling of your objects. You do nothing during matches – when a match starts you just have to look at how each card plays automatically. After a certain number of seconds, if both players are still alive, a storm will appear and drain the lives of both. So you have to be quick or keep this in mind when creating your strategies.

“Object” is the name of the cards in the bazaar. It can be confusing at first because there are also different types of objects (tools, weapons, clothing, etc.), but when you read “objects” in the game it refers to some of the cards available.

Normally, stronger and larger objects require more seconds to activate. You may have your board full of these with better damage than your rival, but if your rival has items that they can activate in the past and more times you will probably have problems. This is where haste and charging will play.

Hast and charging allows you to reduce the cooling for your articles. How they work will depend on the object's details, but creating a good synergy with these articles and maybe some related skills may be the difference between winning and losing.

Shield is not always the answer

The recap of a match between Vanessa and MAK, where Poision was the key, in the bazaar.

The objects you pick up can do a variety of functions during matches, and one of them gives you shield. This protects you from the upcoming damage you receive from your enemy, and depending on the articles you get you may have a building where your hero gets ridiculous amounts of shield for a few seconds.

Having a large number of shields is a possible strategy, and you will definitely have an advantage against many monsters and players. For example, you can win endurance battles, where you may not handle lots of injuries, but you resist more hits than your opponent, and they stop losing when the storm begins.

But relying too much on Shield can also be your downfall. While Shield protects you from the regular damage and burning of the weapon, Ignore venom shield. I have lost a couple of matches against MAK players (a hero who focuses a lot on poison) without any chance of winning.

Having the health or healing object is a way of counteracting poison.

How to choose a character

Each hero has their own set of exclusive items that they can find in a run, while many articles are also available to all characters. You can build every hero in distinct ways, but they have some strengths and weaknesses that make you focus on some strategies a little more.

For example, Dooley can get many small objects, machines and kernels, which much affect the rest of the objects on the board. Pygmalien is more focused on building a shield or serving gold, with many gimmicky routes to get good on that front.

But if you want to learn the ropes on the bazaar at a more mild pace, it's the way to stick to Vanessa. There is a reason why she is the hero chosen for supervision, and it shows: she is a balanced character that focuses on getting strong weapons that handles a lot of damage. You don't have to worry about complex mechanics with her.

Balance your number of weapons on the board

A match between Vanessa and an epic monster, where the monster destroyed most of Vanessa's board in Bazaar.

If you continue to play with Vanessa after the tutor, you may think that storage of your board with weapons will be the best, as you will be able to deal with lots of damage. But it really depends on many factors, mainly on whether you have good synergy between your weapons. For example, having many of them with strong injury statistics but nothing extra, such as healing or shield, will make things more difficult during advanced days.

I have lost many battles with an army of violent weapons against players or monsters that only had one, but they were perfectly reinforced with tools and other useful objects that gave them a lot of power and resources. Always think about your synergies and what do you want to achieve during your battles.

Also always pay attention to your weapons that use ammunition. If you do not have ways to reload them, they will be useless quickly.

Don't worry about admitting

Based on my experience, I would say that you can turn the tide on a run with a little luck – sometimes one or two articles can make the difference and improve your board. At the same time, you may realize that your current driving does not and that you just lose your time. Don't worry, just select in the options menu and start again.

There are no penalties at all, and what is best: If you have achieved enough victories to earn chests, you will still get them even if you allow. Think about it when you feel that you have been playing for a long time and without good results.

Shielded Sharkray is a great item for beginner

An inspection of shielded Sharkray, an object in the bazaar.

During my first runs with Vanessa, Shielded Sharkray turned out to be a good object. It gives you Shield equal to its injury, and you can easily live on its damage by having objects with a hurry on the board. For example, Zoarcid is a useful weapon for it. I ended up winning lots of fights without many problems thanks to Shielded Sharkray's ridiculous statistics.

Choose a monster depending on what you need

The road with three different monsters to choose in the bazaar.

The logical thing to do when you have to choose one of the three monsters ahead of you is to compare your level with them and consider how you have done during your last matches. The monster with the largest level gives you more rewards, so it's a no-brainer, right?

Well, not really. Sometimes you have to focus on winning every struggle you can because one of your articles gets a state increase by doing so, so it would be better to always choose the simplest option. Or you have items that improve when they stay longer on the battlefield, so you should choose a monster that you think will last longer. It is a case to a case; Just keep in mind that there are other rewards apart from the explicit ones you get by defeating your enemies.

When you play more, you will realize that these NPCs will play with the same or similar items every time, so you can know when they are a good match-up or not.

Gold is important, but not so much at first

Level up the screen with three rewards to choose from in the bazaar.

When you start playing, you will notice that many things can earn you gold, which you use to buy items or special things from specific merchants. You also have a passive income, which gives you the number you have at the beginning of each day.

You may be wondering if you need to focus on earning a lot of gold during your first runs, and the short answer is that you don't. Unless you like Pygmalien and want to play with his gold buildings, as long as you have about ten golds now and then to be able to buy most of the articles in the stores, it's good. You can get many articles and skills for free by following the right NPC after every hour.

Should I play normal or ranked matches?

The main menu that shows the normal and ranked positions in the bazaar.

At the time of writing, there are not many significant changes between playing normal and ranked matches. In previous versions of the bazaar you always needed a ranked ticket to access the situation and be able to play. But with Stelle's Patch, rank is free to play as many times as you want.

In addition, you can earn the same daily rewards as playing normal matches:

  • Four wins: Two breasts.
  • Seven wins: Four breasts.
  • Ten wins: Ten chests.

There are only two main differences when playing ranked: the type of player you can find at the end of each day and the chance to rank. The former does not mean that you will necessarily find tougher tires than normal, but players tend to be more competitive on ranked, so you should keep it in mind.

I recommend that you do not jump into ranked matches after you at least test every hero you have and played five runs with the one you like most.

As for your rank, you can level up by having victories in this situation. You start in bronze, and you can get all the way up to legendary and earn some rewards along the way.

Do I need to buy characters?

Mak's presentation screen with his price in the bazaar.

When you buy the usual version of the bazaar you get three characters: Vanessa, Pygmalien and Dooley. Then Stelle and MAK will be available as DLC, with each one that costs $ 19 99. As I mentioned earlier, each character has their own set of objects and lockable cosmetics, and when you buy a character you get all their future extensions for free.

However, there is no need to buy any hero when you start playing. With the starting heroes you get for free, you already have more than enough for dozens of hours. There is a lot of variation in the buildings for each character.

Currently, there is a sale with the second wind package, which includes the base game and Stelle, with a 67% discount. It is a good alternative to buy this version rather than the base game alone.
