At the beginning of My hero Academy is Story, it is quite clear to the audience that heroes and villains are always against each other. After all, given that all most villains want to do is to make as much devastation as possible, it makes sense why they would be considered the enemy of the larger population, but with that said, Kohei Horikoshi, the author of My hero AcademyStill have a real ability to make many of their antagonists strangely sympathetic.
In fact, there are even some like many fans, for some reason, began to root because after understanding who they are really below the surface. Of course, this series is still full of unforgivable villains that will always be seen with contempt and disgust, but it really does not apply to the villains listed below, which are very easy to cheer on.
Lady
A tragic former hero who turned her back on the community
When she first meets Deku late in the story, Nagant bumps so little more than a one -time antagonist for the hero to take down with her new powers, but there is much more for her than initially meets her eye. Lady Nagant was actually once a Tapper Pro-Hero who worked for the Public Safety Commission. As the best shooter throughout Japan, Nagant was ordered to carry out spying assignments that often involved to kill defenseless villains in cold blood. But this would eventually end up turning her, to the point where she not only abandoned her position, but also ended up in the connections of all for one, who gave her a whole new quirk as a way to gain her confidence.
When Nagant First tries to shoot down Deku with his deadly rifle quirk, it is honestly quite easy to dislike her, but it is only when her full backstory is revealed that this view begins to change. In fact, Nogant even begins to see the errors in her roads later in the story and made her come into connection during the last war, where she can help Deku one last time and mark a complete turn from when she first appeared in the series.
Rethink
Re-Destro's unmatched loyalty to his cause makes him easy to admire
Re-Destro is not a villain who simply wants to destroy everything in sight just for fun, as there is much more to this Snazzy businessman than some may have expected. Inspired by The Late Destro, Re-Destro's ultimate goal is to create a world where everyone and everyone can use property without restrictions. While his methods for achieving this are not exactly as healthy, the truth is re-destroy is just such a well-written character that it is very easy to warm up for him after he appears on the screen a handful of times.
In the same way, Re-Destro is completely obsessed with achieving his goal, as he sees his paranormal philosophy of liberation as something that is really a greater good, rather than just an evil schedule that he can use to take over the world. All this makes him an antagonist that many fans will enjoy, despite how brutal or evil he can be under the surface.
Kurrogiri
The mysterious butler begins to become an asset to the heroes
While most members of the villain have nothing but run their mouths when they get the chance, Kurogiri is the opposite. This scary Butler does not say a word for the majority of the series, as it is strongly implied that he is actually a member of the League of Villains against his own will. This suspicion is confirmed when it has been revealed that Kurogiri is actually none other than Oboro, one of Aizawa's childhood friends who were transformed into a nomu after he was caught.
As a result, it is not difficult to see why popular opinions about this villain began to change as the story continued, because when the last war rolled around, everyone wanted to see him play his role in getting back on those who made him wrong. He is a fascinating character and one that many fans are happy to gather after learning the truth about his tragic past.
Twice
Twice just want to be happy
Most villains as seen in My hero Academy Just turned the back of society because of their tragic upbringing. When it comes to twice, he ended up losing his mind after giving a whole army of clones by himself through his badger, which caused him to question whether he is actually the real twice, or just another imitation that will eventually disappear. When he shows up in the main history, even though twice is more than willing to follow Shigarakis every order, it has also made it clear that he simply wants to be around those he can call friends and even the family.
After all, twice became one posted from the community after he began to lose the touch on reality, so it can be difficult to hate him considering everything he has gone through to this point. Connect this with its silly personality, who always manages to light up a dark and difficult situation, and twice is undoubtedly the most lovely and sympathetic member of the villain.
La Brava
Gentle's snap accomplices is too fun to hate
La Brava is another character that just stopped traveling down the villain's path after she felt like a waste of space from the ones around her. After being completely humiliated for confessing a crusher at a boy at school, La Brava would spend his days spending all her time on computers, and more specifically hacking, for which she has a proper condition. This would eventually lead her to the Gentle Criminal, a future villain who formed a duo with La Brava so that she could record his evil actions to the outside world.
All this may sound very unfortunate on paper, but La Brava is by far the most fun, happy and happy villain in the entire series. She struggles to take something seriously, and is also helpless in love with mild, to the point where it often feels like impressing him has prioritized causing chaos. Fans were finally able to get the chance to cheer on La Brava after she was released from her cell during the last war, giving her the opportunity to use her hacking skills for good use to help the heroes, even though they are still technically a villain.
Mild criminal
Gentle is a villain who always dreamed of being a hero
While Deku begins the story with big dreams of becoming a hero, he could at least finally achieve this dream, because the same cannot be said for mild criminal. Although he was well on his way to becoming a hero, Gentle made the mistake of trying to save an innocent civil without actually having a license, which resulted in him getting in the way of another Pro-Hero that was already on stage. This only mistake would completely ruin Gentle's chances of becoming a hero, as he was put in serious guilt and also mocked by everyone around him, which made him accept that villain was the only way forward.
It is common to see many My hero Academy Fans say Gentle is the most related and sympathetic villains in the series, which is a completely valid statement when considering how hard he was treated by the Hero Society. Thankfully, just like his companion La Brava, Gentle received a final shot to prove himself in the last war, giving the iconic moment where he uses his elasticity limit to prevent the floating base from crashing in the ground, which saves countless lives during the process.
