With a few thousand hours dropped into Overclock Over the years, it is safe to say that Blizzard's Hero Shooter is one of my favorite games of all time. I have stuck in the game through all heights and lowness – whether it is goats or Overwatch 2Controversial launch, my love for the game and World Team 4 created always knocked out my frustration or disappointment. And with so much time in the game, I have managed to grow a fairly diverse hero pool. In my early days with the game, when I was at my best, I played Reaper and Tracer and managed to climb to master. As I got a little older and my reflexes started fade, I worked to get well with more goal -focused characters like Cassidy and Ashe. With Overwatch 2I started playing more tank, fell in love with Reinhardt's aggressive kit in the sequel and played Ramattra when I needed a rate of pace. But when it comes to support, I almost always play mercy.
To be clear, I have provided other support such as Kiriko, Brigitte and Illari a shot. But none of them have clicked with me that Mercy has, because I can really consider her as my main for the role. I am fully aware that there is a stigma around the hero, with mercy regularly directed at hero ban and some players who see her as a wasted choice. But even though she was the Gateway hero for relaxed players and newcomers, I love her play style. I love her movement, when zipping away from enemies and making the last seconds of escape never getting old. Pulling off a risky rez or a surprising death with his “Barbie Blaster” is similarly entertaining, while you find the right ally to increase and install for big games make a fun “game in the game.” Above all, I love to be able to see the action develop and make an exclamation based on what I see, because I can get a much better read of what happens while I do Mercy's “simple” job of increasing and healing. And of course, Mercy's many skin options are a nice incentive to stick to her.

Overwatch should look at cyberpunk 2077, not marvel -rivals
Overwatch is in an heated competition with other hero shooter Marvel rivals, but it would be better at mimicking some cyberpunk 2077's move instead.
While I love playing mercy, I've never been someone who can just play a game and a game, so I also get my Hero Shooter -fix from Marvel Rivals. While I can manage as a duelist, and I have found lots of vanguards in the game that fits my tank game style – for example, my Reinhardt and Ramattra skills have made me a threat with Magneto and Emma Frost, for example – the special category is another story. Sure, I like to distinguish between injuries like Mantis absolutely nice, and I think the concept of coat and dagger fascinating … but I don't love to play any specialist. I do not think that it is because the disrespectful specialists get, and I did not participate in the support strike or anything like it. I really think it's just because there is no hero that catches that moment-to-the-moment to play Mercy, which has been my go-to support character for nine years. That doesn't mean Marvel Rivals Can't have a mercy equivalent, as Runaway's own Nico Minoru could mimic her perfectly.
While Adam Warlock's ultimate is essentially a Nerfed version of OG Mercy Rez, everything else is different about his kit from Mercy's (especially his movement), so playing him just doesn't itch the same itching.
Why Nico Minoru is the perfect Mercy Stand-in for Marvel Rivals
Certainly I have no deep personal connection to Nico in the same way as other characters such as Spider-Man, Daredevil, Wolverine or even Captain Marvel. I haven't read any Runaways series, and I didn't watch the show either, because it's one of the only Marvel customers I haven't seen. But the little thing I've seen by Nico I absolutely love. By the side of magic she was the unexpected prominent Marvel's Midnight Suns for me, and she was amazing in Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Manalso. With these two experiences in mind I would love to see her join Marvel Rivals Roster – especially with her being able to share the following features with mercy.
- Nico's personnel in a – just like the Mercy's Caduceus personnel are Nico's primary “weapons” in Marvel Rivals would be a staff. Like mercy, it can damage Boost or heal allies one at a time. Maybe Nico can even add a chain effect that Mercy can get through the stadium or her ultimate if she uses blood and self -injury.
- Flight – Just like Mercy, Nico can be canonically fly. While she does not have to be a completely flying support like ultron, she could have short slides or flights as mercy. In addition, her teleportation can be represented by Kiriko-like jumps to other characters, which would fit Rivals'Hero Design Philosophy of Mixing and Matching Overclock abilities.
- Damage handling magic formulas – While Nico will not pull out a blaster as a member of “Mercy Mafia”, she can correct damage through some of her many magic formulas. Nico can freeze and burn its enemies, project barriers to briefly catch attackers or (as in Midnight Suns) risk using blood magic for a random effect. A risk-reward attack button can be an interesting approach for self-defense for Nico, with Rivals Players who hurt themselves to eject a high -injured attack on an enemy.

Overwatch 2: Best Mercy Stadium builds
Overwatch 2 players who want to enter the stadium support role with Mercy can find some of her most effective buildings in this guide.
Nico minoru can be both a merciful successor and slightly more
While I would love to see Marvel Rivals Get a support hero who is mainly forced on healing and increase its allies, and I think Nico fits the bill thanks to the staff for one, Netease can go a step further. Mercy has been criticized before for having an overly simple kit, so letting Nico do a little more than increasing or healing with its staff would be worth it. Maybe she could use her telekinesis to pull allies against her as LifeWeaver, or her technokinesis to pick the enemy weapon and technology as sombra. In essence, Nico can be “mercy with extra steps”, with the extra abilities that help Nico be a little more meta so that she avoids the criticism Mercy players often have to deal with. As long as she attaches the same boxes with fun movement and being a real support hero in her core, I could see Nico immediately become my specialist Main. At the moment I just have to keep playing Vanguard and hope she shows up in a Marvel Rivals leak or announcement soon.
