Survival has a wide range of useful skills; In fact it is hosted to a part of most useful skills in Abiotic factor. The more players cook, the more recipes they will have access to. Players should constantly make food with what they have available to reap the benefits of a wide range of buffs.
Different recipes will replenish hunger and thirst in different ways, so being able to whip something while players die from both hunger and thirst to immediately counteract this may have players ready to overcome many difficult situations.
Some recipes even give bonus XP.
