5 Nintendo games you need to play this weekend (July 18

Switch 2 has been on the market for six weeks now and Nintendo Hype has remained at a maximum time. The new hybrid console may not have a large library of games yet, but lots of large editions are expected later in 2025, including Kirby Air Riders and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. Thankfully, the popular Nintendo console is backwards compatible with the original switch, which means that there is still plenty of fun to have while waiting for more titles to hit the stage.

As the temperature rises and the idea of leaving your air-conditioned room becomes more and more horrible, finding some new Nintendo titles to pass the time this weekend is the key. Although it can be difficult to wade through Eshop, I have some recommendations to make your shopping seam, with one of my choices into a Switch 2 title that is already one of the highest ranked games in 2025.

Nintendo Switch 2 has just started writing its story, and these upcoming new games will be large chapters.

The weekend is almost above us, and I have come up with a list of five Nintendo titles to binge until the dreaded return of Monday. While two of these games are Nintendo Switch 2 -exclusive, the others can also be played on the original switch, so no worries if you have not been able to get hold of the new hotness yet.

Donkey Kong Bananza

It is impossible not to place this new edition at the top of the week's list. The majority of Switch 2 owners are likely to spend Saturday and Sunday with everyone's favorite monkey, like Donkey Kong Bananza Has been one of the most awaited titles for the system since it was revealed to anesthetized audience in April. Early reviews of the game were out of this world, with 3D platform players who currently sat down with an average score of 91 on OpenCritic. With fully destroying environments, a gripping story and lots of collector items to discover, this game is likely to keep Nintendo fans busy until the system's next big first party release. Exploring dense jungles sounds like a perfect summer activity, but let DK do all the heavy lift while leaning back and relaxing with a tropical drink. Unfortunately, original changeowners must sit out this one, as Donkey Kong Bananza is a switch 2 exclusive.

Nintendo consoles have many cozy RPGs, and this one is available for both Switch and Switch 2 players. Fantasy Life in: The girl stealing time Has been a big hit for developer level-5 since it was launched in May, with the life simulation game quickly becomes addictive when players take on different jobs while exploring a huge world and taking on incredible amounts of side content. Located on an island in the world of Revaria, 14 different life classes fans offer lots of flexibility and ways to play, from Paladin and Hunter to Cook and Blacksmith. As the title suggests, time travel is also a mechanic, as players can build a destroyed island by traveling a thousand years to come. If you feel to re -educate yourself in a magical world this summer, Fantasy Life in: The girl stealing time will keep you busy this weekend and then.

Survival children

Admittedly, Survival children is not for everyone. Its single -player mode is somewhat overwhelming and boring, and more varied content would be greatly appreciated. However, playing with friends in co-op mode can be a blast, and it is a great way to try Nintendo Switch 2's GameChat feature when trying to find yourself from an island in the middle of nowhere. If you just want to turn off your brain and cool out with your friends in your respective homes while staying out of the heat, this is a survival title for players who are either on the younger side or a lot of anti-stress. Life can be tough enough, and there is no shame to spend your weekend on a desolate exercises with low efforts with your bros.

Nintendo fans who want a high dose of nostalgia should consider picking up Suikod 1 & 2 HD remasterWith the Konami title that adds new features and Polish to the classic PS1 JRPGs. Available on both the original Switch and Switch 2, the games now have updated effects, HD background illustrations, new environmental effects, more affecting combat sounds, the ability to flush forward fights and more. If you missed this monumental RPG series back when it was first launched in 1995, this weekend may be time to finally see what all the being is about. Konami recently confirmed that Suikod 1 & 2 HD remaster Has been a hit, with other games in the franchise that potentially receives the same treatment in the future. It's time to study-there are five main titles and a handful of spin-offs that can make a comeback.

Tamagotchi Plaza

Change and change 2 players who are fans of pastel and want to kick back with some old friends should consider picking up Tamagotchi Plaza This weekend. The first Tamagotchi Games that will be released outside Japan in almost two decades, the title details play players with handling a collection of stores in Tamahiko Town by participating in lots of mini games. Doing a good job allows you to make money and increase your store's reputation while unlocking new features, and some stores allow you to also participate in local co-op mode. The Nintendo Switch 2 version also contains three more stores using Joy-Con 2's mouse functionality. Maybe it's a little too sweet for some players, but its cozy vibe can be enough a draw for many fans this weekend.
