Disney Lorcana players are probably already stretching their F5 fingers this week to prepare Wednesday. This is when tickets for the first Disney Lorcana Challenge from Season 2 will go live. Last Friday, it was revealed on the official Lorcana Discord server that tickets for both October DLC in Bologna and Milwaukee will be sold at 9 pt on Wednesday. First, first access, first earned.
With only 2,048 seats available for the first North American and European DLCs since the end of 2024, demand is likely to exceed the supply. And without any kind of lottery system, players have nothing to trust than the happiness and stability of the past driver's website. It is enough to say, Wednesday's sale will cause a huge amount of disappointment for Lorcana players around the world.
Fomos fomo
You have probably become used to a little disappointment every now and then if you have played Disney Lorcana from the beginning. To take care of the product during the first two sets was a major challenge.
And when he spoke like someone who spent every lunch break checking the goal and Walmart for the death, a dose of disappointment became part of my daily routine.
But missing your chance to compete or participate in a Disney Lorcana Challenge (DLC) is a completely different level of disappointment. For those who play competitively, participate (compete) on a DLC your opportunity to prove that all the time and money you have invested in this hobby have paid off. This is how you measure your growth as a player and work towards concrete goals.
For everyone else, this is our opportunity to make contact with the Lorcana community face to face. DLCs are so much more than tournaments. For many, especially those living in areas with small or non -existent local fan bases, DLCs are a crucial social aspect of Lorcana.
We cannot forget to mention the disappointment over all the disappointments so far: when the first World Cup was closed for all participants except the players and their plus.
Almost all ten DLC events in North America and Europe in 2024 sold out, which means there were people who would have gone to the tournament if they could have it, but they were not lucky enough to get a ticket. Almost 18,000 tickets were sold between these ten events, and it was still enough to meet demand. After a year's waiting, players in North America and Europe will only have an opportunity to play a DLC on their continent, with only 2,048 tickets available for each. It is likely that more players will not be able to get a ticket for Bologna and Milwaukee than those who will do.
What you need to know before Wednesday's ticket sales
There are some things you can do to prepare if you hope to enter DLC Bologna or DLC Milwaukee. First, make sure you have bookmarked and acquainted yourself with the time change page for Disney Lorcana Challenge. There is a placeholder about halfway down the Badge registration page, where the ticket for tickets will probably be displayed.
Make sure you are on this page before tickets are sold at 9 pt. Also, consider creating an account for past drive events if it helps to speed up the process.
Know that competitor brands always sell out before the participants' brands, so if it is just what is most important to you, you may be better at going straight for a participant brand when sales start, rather than starting with the competitor emblem, fails and then be too late to get a participant's brand.
Be aware that ticket prices have increased. Competition marks are now $ 75, up from $ 50 last year, while the participants' brands have increased from $ 20 to $ 25. While the price wall will have a wider selection, be prepared for adjustments to price ticket rewards also in the main event, now that matches will be the best of three.
Most importantly, remember to have empathy for your colleagues. For each post on social media, someone shares its excitement that they managed to make a ticket, there will be five more from frustrated players who feel that their investments and commitment to Lorcana are not respected.
Try to give other mercy when ventilated, and if you are one of the happy, try not to acidify on others. Above all, do not turn your Ire against individual developers at Ravensburger. Lorcana players are better than that.
DLCs may be more limited in your region this season, but there will still be opportunities to gather with society and play in high efforts. During last week's Lorecast, we were told that 24 championship invitations will be given to third party Championships Qualifers, and that these tournaments will spread across North America and Europe, including potential Canada and Mexico.
DLCs are not the end for everyone for competitive Lorcana 2025, although I understand how desperately everyone feels for Wednesday's ticket sales. I know it too. But don't let it define yourself as a player either. Do your best, and can succeed with all lighters.
