Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 References Bam Margera Almost Handed Out

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 contains a cheeky little nod for all rumors and discussions about Bam Margera would be included in the game.

Given how beloved Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 was when it launched all the way back in 2020, you would think that a sequel containing the next two games would be a sludge. However, this has not really been the case, as it seems that controversy has followed PRO Skater 3+4 around since it was first announced.

Bam Margera confirms that Tony Hawk received Activision to reintroduce him in PRO Skater 3+4, says his passion for ice skating is back

We love a good comeback story.

While the issues with a career mode are a great point of speaking point, the hardest all centered around one person – former Jackass star Bam Margera. Before he was finally confirmed to be in the game, there were lots of rumors and leaks that argued if he would be left out, or if Tony Hawk himself had managed to get him included.

“A potentially large omission”

The character description for BAM Margera in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4.

Of course, we all know the truth behind rumors now that the game has released and Bam Margera has stated it, but for a good time it was really unclear what would happen to him. It seems that Iron Galaxy was also aware of all the discussions, as there is a fun little nod for it in the game itself.

When you first start Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4, Bam Margera will be included as a buyable skater in the Secret Store. Once you have raised the $ 5,000 needed to unlock him, you will see his unique character description, which is completely centered on rumors of his inclusion.

BAM's Skaterbio notes that he was almost a “potentially large omission” from the game that had fans worried about his inclusion. Very heavy-in-Keakily then asks it if Activision would really “leave one of the series' most beloved riders behind”, before they point out the obvious and say “nope”.

A potentially large omission from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 had fans worried. Would Activision really leave one of the series' most beloved riders behind? … no

Given how close the game came to not have BAM at all, the description is more than a little ironic. We really saw almost such an iconic part of the series omitted, but now that he has done it in (minus all the voice clips), but we all have to take it as a win.
