Ready or not 'censors' controversy reviews bombing on steam

Over the weekend, developer Void Interactive announced that it would be to censor certain aspects of Ready or not before his consecutive gift to retain their ESRB rating, and that these changes would transfer to the PC version because the game is a cross platform.

Tweaks are quite small, reduces the violence against children, which means that degradation only for living goals and removes nudity, but it was enough to rush society's feathers. As reported by the PCGAMESN, the game has dropped to a “mixed” point on Steam with fans that illustrate the assumed “censorship”, which requires the changes to be reversed.

“Void Interactive censoring the game to appeal to the unwashed console audience,” reads a review. “I bought and supported the game most because of its authenticity, although performance and balance problems were abundant. Now I can not recommend it, because some of the more interesting edges that made it stick out.”

“The whole ideology of the game was about showing the things that are not talked about, the brutality that rescue services encounter in the real world,” reads another, from 'cool by Child hitman'. “This game was exciting because there was no censorship in the real world”.

Ready or not players require a boycott, but it does not appear in the numbers

Ready or not: SWAT officials go tactically toward a doorway

Ready or not not only downs into the barrel in an audit bomb campaign, but also requires a boycott. Players encourage each other on the forums, subreddit, and in reviews to stop playing until “censorship” is reversed.

However, the boycott has not proved almost as successful as the review bomb. On Sunday evening, the game still met over 13,000 players, which is an even higher figure than its top player number from May. At the time of writing, on a Monday morning at 8 o'clock, there are over 7,000 players in the game. That's more than the top from October last year.

Despite the counter -reaction, it is ready or not number 16 in Steam's top seller list, without doubt spurred by summer sales, which has seen its price lowered by 50 percent. Players may require a boycott, but it looks like very few are actually moving on with it.
