Year: 2000
A return to fantasy, Final Fantasy 9 is largely considered one of the best games from the series. By far one of the best JRPGs of all time, Final Fantasy 10 was proof of what Playstation 2 could do. The story of love and loss and the emotional toll you knew in 2001 still feels years later when you played the remedied version of the game.
The iconic Shiva -Snap, misunderstood and often memorated the laughing stage, 3D landscapes, the introduction of voice actors and the brilliant leveling system contributes to one of the best final fantasy games of all time. 2001 really had a gem on the hands with Final Fantasy 10.
