Summary
-
One of the most controversial aspects of Nintendo Switch 2 is its use of game button cards.
-
These cards are basically only download codes on a cartridge, and there are lots of third -party games that use them.
-
It seems that the first party's Nintendo game thankfully will not follow that trend.
According to a Nintendo representative, there are currently “no plans” to use gaming button cards for first lot of Nintendo Switch 2 games, which indicates that it is only a third party option.
Since it was revealed a few months ago, Nintendo Switch 2 has met a number of major controversy and questions from consumers. The high price of games is one great One, but another criticism that has been taken out against Nintendo masses in recent months is the confusing and controversial game-key cards.

GameChat can be Nintendo Switch 2's downfall
The official Nintendo Switch 2 specifications have been revealed, and we remain with some questions.
If you do not remember, gaming button cards are mainly access cards similar to codes in a box that lets you download a game instead of stored on the cartridge itself. This is seen as a massive blow for physical collectors and has generally been received very poorly, although it only looks like third party games use them so far.
Nintendo's first party switch 2 games will not use game key cards
Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World are not deviations
Given the fact that we only know about a few first lots of Nintendo Switch 2 games right now, it has been difficult to measure about Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World Buckar the trend for game buttons or proves that Nintendo games will not use them. Thanks God, for it seems that it is actually the latter.
Nintendo Life recently reported that it reached Nintendo to see if its first party game would use Game-key cards. In response, a representative in Nintendo UK responded and confirmed that there are currently “no plans” to use this method for Nintendo developed games.
This suggests that upcoming titles such as Kirby Air Riders and all other first parties Nintendo Switch 2 games will have a proper physical edition instead of getting stuck on game-key cards. Of course, this can eventually change if the games that Nintendo does for the system ends over 64 GB, but it seems unlikely given how good the company has got less file sizes.
It is worth noting that the representative is not always correct and that plans can be changed, but at the moment it seems that gaming button cards will only be a problem for third -party releases. However, this is also not concrete, since Cyberpunk 2077 has proven that it can be done – we just have to see how developers respond to the format in the future.
