Today was a big day for Bungie and Destiny 2 Fans, as the Sony-acquired studio finally revealed the game from its upcoming FPS PVP extraction shooter Marathon. Although the game underwent significant changes over time, with rumors that placed it as a hero shooting game at some point and a change in its director, Marathon promises to be an exciting edition for Destiny 2 Fans because of what functions they share. Although they are basic different games, there is a great deal Destiny 2 DNA in Bungie's new shooter, but this can be a double -edged sword considering a great aspect of the game.
So far the game has not yet received all its content in its Alpha State, and only four runners are currently playable and Marathon Will be launched with three maps, with a fourth coming later. This has already led to the debate on the title's award, as it is confirmed to be a premium game but not a full price, which means it may be in the Ball Park at $ 40 at launch. Today's livestream included a developer interview along with many gaming sequences, and it seems to have some of the best Destiny 2 have, but also one of its worst.

Destiny 2 releases new update for April 2025
The latest Destiny 2 update continues to make adjustments to different types of weapons, including one that remains extremely popular in the crucible.
Marathon repeats itself after Destiny 2's attempt by Osiris
Marathon Will include Buildcrafting, character adaptation, an engrossing attitude with seasonal story, accounts throughout progression, new maps and updates at regular intervals, in the game and bounties. These are some of the best parts of Destiny 2Playoffs and current business model, but they come together with the odd choice to make Marathon A team-based extraction looter with 3-players troops with a solo player. The reason why this is a problem is that solo playing is not encouraged by Bungie, and not just that, but there is no solo queue, and players will always join other teams via matchmaking or go against matchmade/premature troops.
This is reminiscent of trials of osiris in Destiny 2A game mode for 3-player teams with correctly no solo queue, in the sense that players can go much in solo but should not expect to be linked to matchmade teams. Instead, most of the matches against Premade troops of two or three, which in themselves give these players an advantage over solo players – and Marathon will follow in these footprints. Some runners even have support -oriented abilities, which makes Marathon A game designed to play in teams, no matter what. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is not good news for solo players or those who do not already have friends and family to play with.
Marathon: the good, the bad and the ugly
Giving players options to customize their character's appearance as well as what they can in terms of games is a good complement to Marathonand Destiny 2Buildings have proven just as much over time. In the same way, in spite of the fomo-inducing nature of Destiny 2Seasons and episodes, many fans like how the season's story works. Features such as constant updates with new content and progression regardless of success or failure with a given extraction are good to see in Marathon.
Yet, even with its PVE elements and bounty-specific progression, Marathon Staying a PVP-focused game and building its entire identity on teams with three players can partly be problematic. For example, The fire call NightreignViews to multiplayer can make it difficult for meeting the needs of different types of players, such as those who like to play couples. Marathon May have the same problem, and it may be all the more complex to justify solo runs in this specific case. Given how negative experience has historically been for solo players in Destiny 2Pvp, it doesn't seem like that Marathon Will make them all the benefits – and in turn this can be a significant disadvantage for those still on the fence.
