Life is Stranges Chloe is not a fan of breaking up with max in double exposure

Summary

  • One of the many things that life is strange fans hate with double exposure is its treatment of Max and Chloe.

  • The two who break up after risking everything for each other made no sense and annoyed long -term players.

  • The actor behind Chloe, Ashly Burch, has noted that she probably would not have written it that way either.

The original actor behind life is Stranges Chloe Price, Ashly Burch, has shared their thoughts on Chloe and Max who break up in double exposure and noted that she “might not have written it that way”.

You would think that a new life is strange game that gives back the beloved protagonist who started everything, Max Caufield, would be a simple sludge can with long -term series, but double exposure showed that things are not so simple. In fact, long -term fans had the biggest problems with the game, especially when it comes to how Max and Chloe's relationship is produced.

Life is strange deserves to continue exploring Max's story

Life is strange need not end here.

Against the start of the game, double exposure lets you decide whether Chloe survived the events in the first game or not, and whether you say she survived, it is revealed that she and Max broke up over the years after Arcadia Bay. Given how close the two were and what a big decision that Max made for Chloe, their division is massively hated by fans who have taken to call double exposure non-cannon.

Ashly Burch doesn't think life is Strange's Max and Chloe would have broken up either

“We all have our own main cannons”

It has been done very Clearly how most life is strange players feel for Max and Chloe's relationship in double exposure, but it turns out that it is not just them. Thegamer recently participated in BAfta's 2025 red carpet and had the chance to interview Ashly Burch, which especially played Chloe Price in original life is strange and its before the DLC storm.

When asked what she thought about Max and Chloe breaks up in double exposure, Burch noted to be an actor means putting a lot of yourself in a character, but in the end I have to transfer them and not have control over their story. Burch said she respects the developers to decide what is best for the game, but that her own cannon would not have made it go down that way.

They decided that it was best for the game and I respect it. My own cannon in my head, I may not have written it that way, but we all have our own main cannons. It's a fun thing to be like “I love that character and I put so much of myself”, but she's someone else's baby now. – Ashly Burch

Although it seems that Burch agrees with most fans and believes that Max and Chloe would stand with time, unfortunately it is not the version of double exposure we got. With the entry that apparently is a big loss for Square Enix, it is someone's guess if we will ever see Max and Chloe reunite, despite what the game's end was teased.
