Gyomei's story is especially sad, as he became Stone Hashira and the strongest demon Slayer as alive, was a caretaker of orphans in a temple. One night, a demon infiltrated its sanctuary, and Gyomei's attempt to protect the children ended in tragedy. Most orphaned children were slaughtered, and Gyomei was falsely accused of their deaths and spent days in prison.
