Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Developer Warhorse revealed that it went out and bought star map data from early summer 1403 to give the players a historically accurate night sky.
-
This was done with the hope that players would navigate with the stars, which Warhorse explains will be of great help in the game's upcoming hardcore mode.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is about RPG about kicking you in your teeth and getting you to take care of yourself. It is much more brutal than your standard game in the genre, and even getting around the Kingdom Bohemia can be a job sometimes.
However, there are sadists among you who think the game should be even more difficult than it is now, which is why developer Warhorse Studios has worked hard on a “hardcore mode”, which will give players the opportunity to dramatically increase the difficulty of the game. Warhorse showed some of the situation through a developer livestream earlier this week, including the fun and strange debuffs that you can saddle yourself with.

I have played twice as much Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 as I thought
It is extremely easy to lose the clock in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's open world.
One of the most interesting aspects of hardcore mode is your lack of navigation tool. You are stripped off from your compass, and your position on your map is no longer displayed to you. Instead, you are forced to use more traditional forms to find yourself around, such as talking to people, and even using the heavenly bodies themselves.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be navigated with just the stars
We all know that the sun rises to the east and is going to the west, that you are a gimme, but Warhorse apparently went a step further to make sure players could navigate at night. Warhorse PR Manager Tobias Stolz -zwilling explained under the current – and later on Twitter – that the studio went out of its way of buying star map data from early summer 1403 to give players the most realistic night sky as possible.
This means that if you know your constellations and star charts, you will actually be able to navigate around the Kingdom Bohemia at night by simply looking up at the sky. Without a doubt a very useful feature for hardcore mode, although I can hardly read a normal map at the best times.
Either way, it will be a good challenge when Hardcore mode is released, which will happen sometime around mid-April. However, a large note with some much needed changes will be first up, including a small update that allows you to change hair and facial hair at the barber and death of “Hold W” guide. They will release mid -March at some point, so not long to wait at all.
