Debate about the attitude of the Monster Hunter series has been raging for several years now. Is it post-apocalyptic? Is it after the disaster but not really post-apocalyptic? Is it only in a time when civilization was not so technically advanced?
A big reason for this debate comes from the artistic armor set, which has been widespread throughout the history of the series. Although it sees semi-futuristic, the armor is described as “made by the remains of an excavated artifact. Its origin is a mystery that has been lost for the time.”

Monster Hunter Wilds Review: Don't think, just chase
Monster Hunter Wilds is a more easily accessible, if something more insane monster hunter.
It is theoretized that a disaster similar to that of the Schrade king, which was destroyed by Fatalis, had hit the world and put it back in time and thus explained the constant armor. However, this has never been confirmed in Lore.
Following dozens of posts in the franchise, Monster Hunter Wilds has given us our biggest tip on what has happened before, which confirms theories that the games are set in a post-apocalyptic world.
Monster Hunter Wilds Artian Armor confirms the series post-apocalyptic environment
Monster Hunter Wilds is in some way to confirm the series' post-apocalyptic environment.
It explains that Wyveria and the Wyverian people were so technically advanced that they could create artificial lives. It is the Wyverians who created Wilds' Guardian Monsters.
Although it would only be enough to suggest that society had regressed, Wild's new constant weapon gives further explanation for how Wyverian technology worked. During different cutting scenes, the game means that Monster Hunter Nation had become a four -technology with its technical progress, which unfortunately invited war from other countries.
It is concluded that Wyveria used its artificial created monsters to defend the country, but one of them was so powerful that it ended up turning everything they knew into ash and dust.
Wilds provides the most comprehensive Lore we have seen about Wyverian's case and it will be interesting to see what other handsets appear now the game has launched.
