It seems that crossplay is a fairly new idea over the past decade, but it has actually been a feature in play anymore. For example, one of the more prominent was Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001which was an edition in 2001. PS2 and Dreamcast players could play together, and there were even captivating magazine ads to show it.

Borderlands 4 is the latest co-op game offering crossplay between consoles. It is also one of the few games that still offers Split-Screen Co-op for local games, along with online options. Four players, between all consoles and PCs, can come together in the campaign and if players want, they can turn off crossplay.
With four characters to choose from and billions of weapons to find, Borderlands 4 should keep players busy in their open world biores for a while. In addition, it offers the ability to play assignments, a significant change for Borderland series.
Monster Hunter Wilds

Monster Hunter Wilds no longer requires Monster hunter Fans to play co-op to have a good time, as there are AI-assisted characters. However, co-op is still one of the best reasons for buying the game. Up to four players can fight against monsters online in the campaign or side assignments, or just explore the world between the consoles and the PC version. Crossplay can also be disabled in the co-op menu.
Another major functional change is that the game is completely open world now, which means that players can go from one end of the map to the other if they just want to explore on their bracket, called a seicret. Choose one of fourteen weapons, master them, build new tools from monster parts and repeat.

Diablo 4 is yet another game that developed into an open world experience, which is quite expansionary even from a top-down perspective. The classes were classic for Diablo Series, such as Rogue and Sorcerer. Diablo 4 Is a good game for anyone who wants to play sofa co-op with a friend, but a well-split group of classes would be more strategic.
There are many consoles to choose from, that all talk to each other, including the PC version. Log in to battle.net will make the connections more even for everyone. While the story is more impressive than ever before, Diablo 4 is still designed to zone out with friends and looting of dungeons. It is still fun alone and is not that difficult depending on the attitude.
Destiny 2

Destiny 2 Has come a long way since its debut in 2017. Like its predecessor, it was launched at full price with paid DLC after, but then it switched to a formula with free to play. Not all assignments fully support co-op, as there are specifics that extend in how many players can join. Strikes usually offer three-players co-op, while most raid offers sex players co-op.
Strikes are definitely the more iconic missions of Fate franchise. Crossplay works between all consoles and PC, but there is a catch. Campaign goals, such as exploring or going on strikes, will match all players together. However, competitive multiplayer matches will separate console players in one category and PC player in the other.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a game designed around choices from each individual playing aspect. There are breeds, classes and even character -specific choices in the beginning. The branch history is where the most playback value comes out, as players may want to experience the same game on repetition but from different angles.
The campaign can even be enjoyed with friends, which is not so active, because it sees how Baldur's Gate 3 is a tour -based tactical RPG. However, this slower pace can be perfect for some types of players, but everyone involved will check their own character in the story in the battle. Final Fantasy 14 is the latest MMO based on Final fantasy Series and most fans of the genre know that these games are intended to experience with large groups of players. Most of the most important assignments focus on solo games, but there are plenty of co-op activities as well, which vary in party size.
Simply exploring the world and collaborating with others on the road to fight random mobs of monsters or giant bosses can also be fun. Final Fantasy 14 Is a time slope and requires only the most dedicated players to join in to get the most out of the experience. Crossplay will talk between all systems that use the player's Square Enix account, with the only exception, the PS3 is because that version is no longer supported in general.

Shouters is an underestimated co-op game that came and went like a lightning in 2021. It offers only three-players co-op as Destiny 2But the entire campaign can be experienced between all systems, including the elderly such as PS4 and Xbox One. Crossplay can be turned on and off in the options depending on the player's preference.
There are four classes to choose from. Pyromancer is one of the coolest choices, as players will learn to master fire forces to use together with their arsenal of weapons. However, Technomancer's variety of gadgets can also be useful, and overall each class will be useful for building a multiple co-op party.

Palworld Is still in early access, but a 2025 update made crossplay a feasible alternative between all active systems. Up to four players can normally collaborate for adventure together in the world, but anyone with dedicated servers can host massive 32 player campaigns. It's a bit much, but it's an option.
The nuclear experience of Palworld Activates catching monsters, called peers and then educating them to fight or help growing ground. Palworld is some monster catching RPG, part of life. All menial tasks will be more fulfilling with friends who help online.
