Code Geass is a solid fantasy and mecha anime that has aged very well in many respects. The vibrant animation still looks gorgeous, from the fight scenes to the unique mecha designs in the Knightmare Frames. Watching it today still provides an astonishing experience, possibly even better than most modern anime released in the 2020s could deliver.
While Code Geass franchise continues to release new projects, some of which still feature the iconic main character Lelouche Lamperouge, nothing beats the original anime series released in 2006. About Code Geass would get a remake, with more modern animation while maintaining the same level of storytelling and ethereal soundtrack that the anime has been known for, it was able to immediately regain its foothold among fans.

With the launch of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War anime, the series based on Tite Kubo's manga finally got its much-deserved modern treatment. The latest edition eliminates many of the flaws of the old anime series, from the unnecessary padding and dated animation to the inconsistent pacing that once made it difficult for viewers to consume the hundreds of episodes.
While Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is still ongoing and will return in July 2026, a remake announcement for Whiten anime released in 2004 would also be greeted with immense excitement and appreciation. Just imagining the 2004 series without the filler, combined with more top-tier animation, already feels like the ultimate version of the series. If One Piece so do it Whiten deserve it too.

This is one of the OG magical girl series that inspired countless fans to stand up for themselves and face every challenge with courage and kindness, all in an adorable magical girl outfit if possible.
While Card Catcher Sakura received a sequel in 2018 with the Clear Card Arc adaptation, the original series, released in April 1998, was able to embrace a modern remake that improves its pacing while preserving its classic aesthetic. A polished production quality could also improve character interactions and, most notably, Sakura's Clow Card capture sequences.
