The world of My Hero Academia is home to some of the greatest warriors the anime industry has ever seen. Each of these characters exemplifies what true bravery and selflessness look like, always putting others above themselves in an endless struggle to create a better world. Among them, All Might will always stand as the greatest of all time, not only because of his decades of hard work, but also because of what his presence and smile represented: peace and security.
While it's a fact that Toshinori's efforts will go down in history, the series' epilogue made it clear that the world is ready for the new generation of heroes to mark the way forward. As hard as it may be to admit, many members of the latest group of warriors have reached or even surpassed the level of success that All Might once had. Although not all of them got a proper chance to show their abilities at full power, these heroes surely make Toshinori proud.

After 10 years, My Hero Academia's best romance is now official
MHA got a new episode in May that made the show's final romance official.

Mirio Togata – Lemillion
Once considered the future symbol of peace, Mirio Togata was hailed as the strongest and most capable student UA High has ever produced. Despite his abysmal Quirk control as a youngster, which led to many embarrassing situations, Togata worked harder than his peers to rise to the top, motivated by his dream of one day saving a million people. His efforts were such that even his mentor, Sir Nighteye, saw him as the best candidate to inherit One for All and become Japan's new embodiment of hope.
By the time the epilogue came, Mirio had achieved all that was expected of him and more, having become the current number one hero. This result did not shock fans at all, as Lemillion proved to be a vital part of the offensive against All for One and his army during the Final War Arc, one of the best in the series. Mirio has been an example of true heroism, and his precise fighting style, as well as his undying determination, can only be compared to All Might.

Shoto Todoroki – Shoto
Once a cold and selfish youth who wanted nothing more than to bring down his father's legacy in revenge, Todoroki grew into a hero more than worthy of the admiration he has received. Ever since his introduction, Shoto has been presented as one of the strongest members of Class 1-A, having been trained since childhood to be a living weapon. It wasn't until his fight against Deku that Shoto was able to begin to heal his trauma and leave behind his revenge plan to focus on becoming a great hero hopeful.
Arguably one of the most powerful in the entire universe, his Quirk, Half-Cold and Half-Hot, gives him control over both fire and ice, making him a versatile and impressive fighter. His fight against Dabi at the end of the Final War Arc proves how much Shoto grew as a fighter, being able to thwart a heat blast that would have vaporized everything for miles. It's no surprise that such a talented warrior was assigned the number 2 hero spot, as even Toshinori would be impressed by his strength.

Fumikge Tokoyami – Tsukuyomi
Despite having one of the best and most memorable designs of all My Hero Academia universe, Tokoyami is rarely ever mentioned when talking about impressive students. This is a shame, as Tokoyami himself is one of the few people who ever instilled genuine fear into All for One's heart. During their brief battle, which took place under a sunless sky, Fumikage was able to fully harness the power of his sentient and complex quirk, Dark Shadow.

My Hero Academia: Each main character's age, height and birthday
My Hero Academia consists of a dynamic cast of characters. Here's what you need to know about all the major players.
The Avatar of Darkness became a monster that could have easily destroyed entire mountains with a single attack, creating one of the strongest ultimates in the series. All for One himself proclaimed that he was lucky to have made it out of that battle alive, as Tokoyami's power was beyond that of several pro heroes. While it is true that this strength is dependent on the darkness surrounding Fumikage, it cannot be denied that his strength is comparable to Toshinori's.

Shoji Mezo – Tentacole
Although All Might's greatest contribution to society comes from his immense strength, which he used to protect Japan from some of the most powerful villains ever, he was much more than just a strong fighter. Toshinori was a figure who inspired bravery, kindness and happiness in others, actively making the world a better place with his actions. As such, while some new heroes may never reach his level of power, their impact on the world is just as important as Shoji's.
During the Final War Arc, Mezo proved to be the advocate the Heteromorph-Type Quirked community needed, willing to put his life on the line to bring equality to his people. The series made it clear that discrimination against this group was widespread, and Shoji was clear, letting this issue go unnoticed. By the time the epilogue came, Tentacole had become a symbol of hope and strength for the Heteromorph-Types, much like All Might was for the general population.

Ochako Uraraka – Uravity
My Hero Academia is a series with many tragic and heartbreaking backstories, but few are hit as hard as Himiko Toga's. Abandoned by his family, rejected for his “villainous” Quirk, and manipulated into joining a terrorist organization with hopes of creating a better future. Uraraka, one of the best female characters in the series, was a direct witness to Toga's rise, fall and eventual redemption – an experience that marked her path as a heroine.
According to the epilogue, Ochako used the pain of Toga's loss to start a program that the Hero Society should have instilled centuries ago: Quirk Counseling for 'villainous' Quirks. By going to schools and talking to children to help them accept their uniqueness and others with terrifying powers, Uraraka saved thousands of children from falling down the same path as Toga. She may never reach Toshinori's level of power, but her impact on the world is just as crucial to Peace of Peace.

Bakugo Katsuki – Dynamics
While not a villain in the traditional sense, Bakugo Katsuki went through one of the best redemption arcs in My Hero Academia anime. When the series began, Dynamiight was a fresh, brash and genuinely unheroic character who saw others as simple stepping stones to his success. He was undoubtedly powerful, with one of the most overpowered and destructive quirks, but his ego and lack of empathy kept him from reaching the top.

My Hero Academia: The Bizarre Reason Horikoshi Changed Bakugo's Name
The lovable but crude rival to Deku almost had a much sillier and more bizarre name, until Horikoshi removed it at the last minute.
It wasn't until he realized the error of his ways and truly repented of his past actions that Bakugo could become a true and admirable hero. Following Deku's example, Bakugo reached levels of power never before seen in a hero other than the One for All. Not only was he able to continue fighting after being mortally wounded, but also to be instrumental in All for One's defeat. Dynamiight became a virtuous fighter who uses his strength not to destroy others but to protect them, just as All Might once did.

Izuku Midoriya – Deku
The ultimate user of the One for All and the six Quirks that rest within it, Izuku is the only hero who has objectively surpassed All Might in both power and legacy. Despite his start as a propertyless boy bullied and rejected by his peers, Deku managed to overcome all odds and establish himself as more than a symbol of peace, but a source of hope for the entire world. His fight against Shigaraki, one of the best in My Hero Academia franchise, was epic not only because of its intensity but also because of what it represented.
Each battle and attack brought faith back to the world, as evidenced by the final moments of the war, when even those who had lost hope came back to help. Deku's attacks were indeed strong, likely enough to wipe out entire cities if he so desired, but they were also a promise not to give up. Izuku became the world's greatest hero by showing others that a true fighter is not always the strongest or the most fearless, but the one brave enough to keep going even when everything goes wrong, just like All Might taught him.
