6 Most OP Fusions You've Never Heard Of, Ranked

Transformations are Dragon Balls go-to method for changing the course of battles, but if the anime really wants to upset the power scale, it turns to mergers. Initiated by Piccolo's permanent assimilation of Nail, followed by Cell's absorption streak, and perpetuated by Goten and Trunks' dance, Dragon Balls fusions are often broken, which is why the main story doesn't exaggerate them. Fortunately, the multiverse has no such limitations, and it's filled with absurd OP fusions.

Dragon Ball literally devotes an entire game to fusions, bringing to life combos that used to be limited to fanart or fanfiction. However, Dragon Ball Fusions is not the only source, and you can only look or play Heroes to get a summary of how silly things can get. Still, I love a good mash-up, and these fusions satisfy that craving beautifully.

None of these fusions are canon, but they are in official Dragon Ball lets go.

Also, I won't include fusions that consist solely of non-canon characters; basically, I skip Shallet from Dragon Ball Legends.

Tiencha breaks through the limits of humanity

Tien Shinhan and Yamcha

After the original series, Dragon Ball Z reducing Yamcha and Tien to human speed bumps who can't possibly keep up with Saiyans, Androids, or even Namekians. Tien gets to shine one last time by Neo-Tri Beaming Semi-Perfect Cell into oblivion, but Yamcha's main contribution is a meme. On their own, they can't really do much, and should probably just stay out of the way; but what if they weren't alone?

Tiancha is one Budokai 2 exclusive fusion that seems to exist mainly to give players a reason to choose one of these characters. On paper Tien and Yamcha's hybrid sounds like he wouldn't be able to do much of anything, barely getting enough boost to stand next to Saiyans in their base form (and I'm talking early) DBZ Saiyans). In practice, Tiencha is shockingly powerful, serving up a perfect blend of Yamcha's chaotic Wolf Fang Fist and Tien's disciplined Crane School techniques.

Tien and Yamcha are pretty good characters Budokai 2and their fusion provides fast combos, can stun-lock enemies and has powerful finishers like dodohameha.

Celluza is the perfect emperor

Frieza And Perfect Cell

Yes, you knew this was going to happen eventually, even if we had to wait Dragon Ball Fusions. Ganbarion was so aware that fans had spent the past two decades dreaming of Perfect Cell and Frieza fusions that the developer directly used Cellulose as the final boss of the campaign, despite the presence of seemingly stronger combos such as Janembuu (Janemba and Majin Buu).

Along with having one of the best designs of anyone Dragon Ball fusion character, Celluza is incredibly resistant to damage, as both Cell and Frieza are notoriously difficult to kill (though not impossible). Cell is able to regenerate most of his body, while Frieza somehow survives the loss of half his body and a trip into the vacuum of space. In the game, Celluza automatically regenerates HP after each turn, and he negates 90% damage if he ends up at death's door.

Gokule is the ultimate joke fusion

Goku and Hercules / Mr. Satan

In the Majin Buu saga, Goku briefly considers the funnest possible scenario: fusing with Hercule. Unfortunately, Vegeta and Vegito crash the party, ruining any chance to canonize the most unbalanced fusion in Dragon Ball. The hair and mustache would have been spectacular.

Fortunately, Budokai 2 stepped up and actualized this alternate reality by allowing Goku the privilege of merging with Earth's self-proclaimed strongest human. The result is Gokulea fusion that looks as silly as it sounds. The thing is, Gokule is undoubtedly one of them strongest Dragon Ball mergersat least if we approach it from a meta point of view.

Gag characters work on a completely different physique than anyone else, which makes someone like Dr. Slump's Arale to completely destroy Goku and Vegeta in a fight. Hercules himself accomplishes incredible feats by simply surviving trials that should kill him. Perfect Cell throws Hercule into a mountain, only for the common man to emerge largely intact.

Combining Goku's experience, power and skill with the gag factor of Hercules, Gokule would be an unstoppable monster who would stumble his way through fights with gods and come out on top at the end.

Whirus is an ultra instinctive angel god of destruction

Beerus And Whis

Because it came out after Battle of Z, Dragon Ball Fusions naturally merged Beerus and Whis. What do you get when you combine a God of Destruction and his angelic guide who is much stronger? You get Whirusaka the beyond god level fusion.

Whis and Beerus are playoff-level threats in their own right, and we've never actually seen either of them fight to their full potential. Hell, Whis has never fought seriously, and his natural state involves constantly being in Ultra Instinct. Whirus can travel back in time, change his stats at will and move at lightning speed before anyone else can react. Frankly, Whirus is the definition of one overpowered Dragon Ball fusionand he really should be taller. However, we have two even more broken characters.

Mergers before Ultra Instinct, so the power-up/transformation is not in the game. However, we are told that the Guide Angels are forever in Ultra Instinct mode, so Whirus would have access to it.

Karoly Black shouldn't be

Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black and legendary Super Saiyan Broly

Now this one just feels wrong. We have Goku Black, a canon character from Dragon Ball Superand DBZ Broly, a villain who is just a movie that is completely filler. There are some lines that should not be crossed.

Cellulza could be it Dragon Ball Fusions' last boss, but Karoly Black was added as DLC, clearly positioning him as a stronger force. This fusion is even more overpowered than Goku and Broly, as Goku Black's incredible stamina makes him a better host for the legendary Super Saiyan's overwhelming Ki. He gets stronger the more damage he takes, and his base stats are already in “oh no” territory.

Karoly Black is such an exaggerated concept that he hasn't even appeared in it Dragon Ball Heroes still, a game entirely designed to be as OTP as possible. There are some mergers that are simply too much to even consider.

The five way fusion is the most OP Dragon Ball Fusion ever

Not limited to specific characters

Let's end this discussion with the most OP fusion imaginable, one that will never, ever be added to canon Dragon Ball story. FusionThe ultimate ability is Five-Way Fusion, which does exactly what you think it does. The Ginyu Force created this method, and the protagonists use it as their last resort move when they have to take on the likes of Celluza and Karoly Black.

While one version appears more due to the base party, all five characters can be merged to create the ultimate fusion, resulting in a wide variety of looks. This combo is so broken and overwhelmed that it only lasts a couple of seconds before it splits everyone up again.
