ZA side quest if you want the best farming method in the game

Pokemon Legends: ZA's Mega Dimension DLC came out just two weeks ago, but it has completely reshaped the game in various ways. There are shiny new hunting methods in the Pokemon Legends: ZAwhich is good after the removal of the “spawn overload” bug from the base game, as well as many recurring Pokemon and ways to get them in Hyperspace Lumiose. If that wasn't enough, you can shiny hunt 5 legendary Pokémon, get a total of 9 legendaries and 11 mythics, farm rare items with specific Donut Powers, and more. Still, the DLC also provides the best overall farming method in the game, but it becomes instantly unavailable once you've completed a specific side quest.

There are 200 side quests in Pokemon Legends: ZA after the release of the DLC.

Not all side missions included Pokemon Legends: ZA make a lot of sense, either in terms of story or rewards, but there are some notable exceptions. The Goodbye Gengar quest, for example, can bring you to tears. However, two base game quests involving Raichu are necessary to access another quest to get both new Mega Evolutions for the beloved Gen 1 beast. However, you shouldn't complete one of them unless you really want to beat the game in its entirety, and that is Side Mission 157: What's Wafting from Wigglytuff?

Say hello to Pokemon Legends: ZA DLC's best farming method

This mission is available after unlocking Hyperspace Mission 8, and it is available in the Bleu District of Lumiose City, near Pokemon Legends: ZA's Wild Zone 10. Here, an NPC named Bain will ask you to help him clean his Wigglytuff, who dislikes showers and therefore needs to be washed in defiance of the Bubble Beam move. Bain asks you to fight him and his Wigglytuff only after you have trained a Pokemon with Bubble Beam. Doing so will complete the quest, but you shouldn't do it yet.

Pokemon Legends: ZA's Best Farming Method for Money, XP, and EVs Explained

You can fight Bain and defeat his Wigglytuff even with different Pokemon, as long as you have a Pokemon with Bubble Beam on your team. If you do, the game will reward you with 4,752 Poke Dollars, which isn't a lot, but it's very quick and easy money. When Bain realizes you haven't washed his Wigglytuff with the Bubble Beam, he'll ask you to do it again. The caveat is that you can endlessly battle Bain as long as a Pokemon on your team has Bubble Beam as a move, but otherwise you can keep beating him over and over again. By doing this, you reward the following:

  • 4,752 Poke Dollars per battle, with each battle lasting less than a minute, including dialogue.

  • Endless XP for your Pokemon below level 100.

  • Endless HP EVs – specifically 3 HP EVs every time you defeat Bain's Wigglytuff.

This is incredible because many Pokemon benefit from high HP EVs in the game, with most Pokemon Legends: ZAs best team using multiple max-HP, max-attack-stat critters, meaning you can max one of those stats for free instead of spending 5,000 Poke Dollars each on HP Up Bottles. In addition, you will get millions of Poke Dollars in just a few hours of farming, which can then serve you for a long time.

Technically, the ZA Infinite Royale method of getting to the battle zone near Wild Zone 8 is better, but it's only an active method. Instead, defeating Bain's Wigglytuff can be fully automated with a simple Nintendo Switch turbo controller, and even easier with a programmable controller. In fact, you can have the controller press A as its turbo button and place a rubber band on the ZL button to automatically target Wigglytuff.

Mega Metagross Pokemon Legends ZA

As for what type of Pokemon to use, any high attack or steel type Pokemon Pokemon Legends: ZA will do, but for optimal performance a level 100 Metagross with Heavy Slam and max Attack EV and IV is recommended. This will take a shot at Wigglytuff, and you can manually press A to cycle through Bain's dialogue or use a turbo control to do it for you until the battle starts again. This is the single best multi-resource farming method in the game, considering you can max out HP EVs, Poke Dollars and XP all at once, but unfortunately it disappears after you defeat Wigglytuff with Bubble Beam.
