For the first time in several months, Overwatch 2Future Hero editions are largely a mystery. Wuyang, the water -bending support character that was previously known by the code name at Aqua, is just a few weeks from their debut. The Hero 45 has also been teased, with the character that is expected to be a sword -discouraging gladiator, although their exact role is unclear.
In addition to these two characters, however, almost anything or anyone else could come to Overwatch 2 next. But even though many fans can be more fascinated by potential abilities, it's not the only thing to be hyphened. By building a specific Easter egg, a future hero can have the most memorable personality in a role full of standouts. Specifically, Hero said should be a fourth wall switch like She-Hulk, Deadpool, Tank Dempsey and other iconic figures from pop culture.

August 14 will be a big day for Overwatch 2
Overwatch 2 makes a big splash on August 14, and players want to save the date on their calendars if they don't want to miss it.
Overwatch has already put a tooth in the fourth wall
While some Overwatch 2 Players may think that a fourth wall switch is in their place for Blizzard's hero shooter, realistically, it would be a natural successor to an existing secret. Although there are plenty of reference syringes and voting lines, nothing is compared to Lucio who recognizes the player's actions. Discovering this Easter egg is relatively easy, as all players need to do is look at Lucio's weapons after adjusting their volume settings. If players reject their master volume, Lucio's sonic amplifier will show an empty bar, with his weapon that responds directly to the player's sound choice. With this secret to being over half a decade old, and not exactly ordinary knowledge, many players – especially OW2 Newcomers – may have no idea there are.
This Easter egg was present in the original Overclock Even with Team 4's eye for details as a consistent strength in the series.
Overwatch 2 could do wonders with a fourth wall -breaking hero
Regardless of the role assigned to this hypothetical hero, there are some fun opportunities that would be available to Blizzard if it was willing to continue such an idea. These include:
-
Dialogue refers directly to the player – perhaps the hero could comment on the player's skin choice, criticize their match performance or judge them for having more playing time on other characters, which leads to a number of prominent jokes. Their Hero Select animation can make them interact with the screen, even pull the control away from the player to make them choose them if they hovered for too long.
-
Dialogue that recognizes Overwatch 2 is a video game – much like Tank Dempsey would make fun at Treyarch's game design in Classic Cod Zombies maps, the hero could immediately ask Blizzard for buffs or complain about Nerfs. They could comment directly on match time and other aspects of the game, confuse the characters around them and lead to some memorable back and forth conversations.
-
A kit that benefits from the hero's ability to break the fourth wall – perhaps the hero destroys directly with players on the other team through their ultimate, cards turn their checks, lose their ultimate charge and so on. Alternatively, they could touch with the skin elements when an ability is used, reaching to the screen to add segments to their health bars, lower cooling or manually charge their ultimate meter.
Such a character would immediately stand out from the rest of Overwatch 2 Role, with it easy to imagine some interactions where Sombra sees the character as an even better hacker than himself or someone who is not hindered that Sigma can actually understand what they are talking about. The only challenge for Blizzard would be to add such a character and have it to make sense without removing efforts from the world. Maybe superboy prime can be used as an inspiration, with a fan of Overclock The world from another universe that enters into the fictional environment with all the knowledge they have gained from playing the game. Alternatively, a character may simply have the ability to break the fourth wall for no reason beyond it is a fun gimmick, with Blizzard just be sure not to overdo it. Regardless of that approach, it would be fantastic to see a character inspired by Lucio Audio Secret will be realized, as they could offer even more Easter eggs with a similar vibe.
