Xbox 360 classic Dragon Age: Origins is currently available for just $1.49 on Microsoft's digital storefront. The newly launched discount, available until December 3rd, brings one of the highest-rated Xbox 360 games to an all-time low price.
Dragon Age: Origins launched to overwhelmingly positive reviews in November 2009, winning multiple GOTY awards and widespread fan acclaim. Although it marked the beginning of one of BioWare's oldest franchises, many fans still see it as the series' best entry, citing its writing, impactful choices, and Dragon Age: Origins class system among its prominent features. By the most meaningful measures, the 2009 title is considered one of the best Xbox 360 RPGs ever made.

Dragon Age: Origins drops to historic low price on Xbox Store
The Xbox 360 version of Dragon Age: Origins was 90% off on November 19, matching its all-time low price of $1.49. The promotion runs until December 3 and is part of a wider sale that includes deep discounts on others Dragon Age games too. While the Xbox Store version of the Dragon Age: Origins have sold more than once per quarter in recent years, 90% discounts are still rare. The last time the game dipped to $1.49 was more than a year ago, in a two-week period starting in mid-July 2024.
All the deals from the current Dragon Age series Xbox Store sale The Xbox 360 can no longer be used to purchase games, but games purchased through newer consoles or Xbox.com can still be downloaded to it.
While the Microsoft Store version of the Dragon Age: Origins is technically an Xbox 360 title, it can no longer be purchased directly from the seventh generation console. The Xbox 360 Marketplace was officially shut down in July 2024, bringing the game's previous 90% discount. Although users who already own the game can still download it to their Xbox 360, new purchases must be made through newer systems. However, it is still available for purchase Dragon Age: Origins via platforms such as the web version of Microsoft's storefront and then download it to an Xbox 360.
One caveat with the current sale is that it only applies to the base game. Dragon Age: Origins DLC packs — which include several long expansions such as Awakening– must be purchased separately. The same limitation applies to Dragon Age 2which can currently be picked up for $1.99, thanks to an identical 90% discount.
Conversely, both the Deluxe and GOTY Editions of the Dragon Age: Inquisition has been discounted as part of the ongoing sale. All editions of Dragon Age: The Veilguard are currently discounted as well. The craftsmans premium version does not contain any new story content, but the GOTY Edition of Inquisition do.
