Joshua Robertson is the news editor for TheGamer. When he's not writing breaking news, community stories, or covering industry events, you can find him begging FromSoftware for a Bloodborne remaster.
Already in 2021, Yakuza fans will remember that the series lost its creator, Toshihiro Nagoshi. It was a pretty tough time for fans of the franchise at the time, although a glimmer of hope was revealed when Nagoshi announced that he would be creating his own studio. It already opened in 2021, and since then we haven't heard much about what he's been working on.
However, it seems that Nagoshi is now ready to show off his work. At The Game Awards earlier today, Nagoshi revealed his new title Gang of Dragon, which appears to be set in Kamurocho.
Yakuza Creator has revealed his next game
Unfortunately, we didn't get to see many details about the game, other than what the game's main character looks like. The trailer starts with him being stabbed, so it doesn't look like Nagoshi is going for a more light-hearted story like we've seen from the Yakuza franchise. We then see him take on some thugs in a bar, ending with one taking a bullet to the forehead.
