Xbox Live is down right now

Xboxs online services appear to be down right now. In general, Xbox players can trust the company's servers. However, there are certainly times when Xbox experiences issues, preventing players from accessing their library and playing titles online.

Whenever outages like these occur, mileage may vary. Some Xbox players seem to go by completely unhindered, while others may struggle with the issues for quite some time. It's unclear exactly how widespread the latest outage is, but it has caused a spike in Down Detector reports and there are various reports on social media confirming that players are having trouble accessing the Xbox's online features at the time of writing.

Xbox partners with IHOP

Xbox announces a partnership with breakfast chain IHOP, making the pancake establishment the brand's official breakfast partner.

In my own experience, every time I try to launch an Xbox game right now (around 3:30 PM CST Wednesday, November 13th), I'm met with a message that says “There is a temporary network problem.” The message then adds that it may be a “service interruption” and gives me the option to play the game offline. The message is accompanied by an error code 0x80832003. Xbox has yet to acknowledge the outage on social media, and currently the Xbox status page is claiming that everything is up and running, although that's clearly not the case.

Now, it's likely because these service issues have just started happening, and so Xbox might not even be fully aware of the problems. It's also possible that the outage only affects certain Xbox players and not the entire network. Be that as it may, there are clearly a lot of Xbox players encountering issues, so hopefully the issues will be fixed sooner rather than later.
