The first wave of Wucang: fallen feathers Reviews are generally positive, but not overwhelming. ARPG has a “strong” rating on OpenCritic, with an average score of 75 and a 70% review recommendation. This places Wucang: fallen feathers in the 63rd percentile of all games made on the aggregate platform. Critics praised the game's rapid combat and weapons change fluidity, as well as its madness system, which was characterized as a unique twist on the soul-like concept of death. Instead of losing all the experience of dying, WuChang loses only an amount proportional to her madness. Madness also increases both damage that is treated and received. When the meter is maximized and the protagonist dies, an evil doppel gangs try to prevent her recovering lost resources.
On the other hand, some reviewers criticized the game for feeling derivatives and failed to meaningfully develop the sick hero and amnesiac tropes it leans. While soulslices are usually known for their difficulties, Wucang was generally described as inconsistent in that respect, with fights that feel both simple and too hard relative to the rest of the game. Anyway, gambling problems are in itself subjective, so individual experiences with Wucang are likely to vary.
When will Wucang: Falls Feathers to Xbox Game Pass Standard?
To be a day-a-edition, Wucang: fallen feathers is not available on the Xbox Game Pass Standard from now on. Historically precedent suggests that Lenzee's latest title is likely to be added to the Standard Library between January and July 2026. Meanwhile, a last day's edition will reach Xbox Game Pass in July, with the early access version of Grounded 2 To be planned to materialize on the 29th.
