Xbox Game Pass Premium adds 2 games, plus an Open-World bonus for PC players

FBC: Firebreak and Endless Legends 2 are now available at Xbox Game Pass Premium. They arrive on a busy day for the service, debuting alongside a PC version of a hit open-world game and the first additions to the Xbox Game Pass Essential library since late 2025.

FBC: Firebreak is a co-op multiplayer shooter and Remedy Entertainment's first ever Verify by-product. It was once an Xbox Game Pass title that originally launched in June 2025. Endless Legends 2 is a follow-up to Amplitude Studios' 2014 4X strategy game that launched as an Early Access title in September 2025, when it also joined select tiers of Microsoft's subscription service. As is usually the case with day one arrivals, both of these games were initially limited to the PC Game Pass and XGP Ultimate libraries.

The Xbox Game Pass library is expanding to include an iconic and highly influential RPG, arriving as its second addition in April 2026.

Xbox Game Pass Premium subscribers have up to 3 new games to play today

Endless Legends 2 and FBC: Firebreak expanded their reach on April 8, when they officially joined Xbox Game Pass Premium. Today's catalog update also includes the PC version of DayZBohemia Interactive's popular open-world zombie survival game, now available to all subscribers. Originally released in December 2018 after five years of early access, DayZ has been on Xbox Game Pass since May 2020, but only for console and cloud users. The reason for the six-year gap between its console and PC versions joining the service is unclear.

DayZ has been part of Xbox Game Pass Essential since December 2024, when the starter subscription was still called XGP Core. As a result, its newly added PC version is also available to everyone, regardless of membership level.

The Essential catalog has also received a different title today: Warhammer: Vermintide 2. A well-received first-person action game developed by Swedish studio Fatshark, this 2018 title is currently in the middle of its third venture on Xbox Game Pass, which started in May 2025. It was previously available between July 2018 and July 2019, then returned for another year in September 2020. While approaching the first act and now approaching the current act. Essential-tier library suggests Warhammer: Vermintide 2 won't be leaving Xbox Game Pass anytime soon.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and the PC version of DayZ mark the first additions to the Essential catalog since December 2025, when the budget tier of the service received Stellaris, World War Z: Aftermathand Medieval dynasty.
