Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is now available at Xbox Game Passafter being launched across three of its levels. It marks the 211th title added to the service this year and the 15th nominee from The Game Awards 2025 to join Xbox Game Pass.
The latest title from Life is strange developers don't nod, Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is an episodic narrative adventure that is a combination of a coming-of-age story and a thriller that takes place across two timelines: 1995 and 2022. Its first part – or “band” to use the game's jargon – was released in mid-February 2025, and debuted to under 7 positive reviews by OpenCritic with an average score of 5. Tape 2 was released two months later to a somewhat more reserved critical reception, achieving a 71 average score on OpenCritic. Reviewers raved Lost Records: Bloom and Rage for compelling writing full of memorable characters and an intoxicating atmosphere, while noting that its choices lacked impact and the 1995 timeline was more engaging than today's story.

Previous years also suggest that Microsoft may temporarily change its typical Xbox Game Pass announcement cadence by consolidating all December 2025 titles into a single lineup reveal instead of doing Wave 1 and 2 separately. Should that happen, the company will most likely return to its regular two-wave announcement schedule in January 2026.
