Xbox Game Pass Subscribers currently have five new games to look forward to in December 2025, with more likely to be announced next week. Every month, new games are added to Xbox Game Pass across its various tiers, with subscribers getting the most bang for their buck from the Ultimate tier. With an Ultimate tier subscription, Game Pass subscribers can play everything the service has to offer on Xbox and PC, including all-new, first-day titles.
2025 has been an incredible year when it comes to day one games on Xbox Game Pass. The first half of the year was defined by critically acclaimed games such as Blue Prince and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33while the second half of the year delivered one of the most anticipated indie games of all time in the form of Hollow Knight: Silk Song along with blockbuster releases such as Ninja Gaiden 4, The Outer Worlds 2and lastly, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

The year is almost over, but there are still some big new releases for Game Pass subscribers to look forward to before 2026. So far, five games have been confirmed for Game Pass December 2025, with co-op games on the first day Marvel Cosmic Invasion kicks off on December 1, followed by a narrative adventure game Lost Records: Bloom & Rage on December 2. December 4 sees the debut of the long-awaited sci-fi horror game Routine for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to check out, while December 9th actually has two games on the cards. Game Pass subscribers can mark their calendars that day for the debut of A game about digging a hole and Dome Keeper.

A game about digging a hole is, as the name describes, a game about digging a hole. It first debuted on Steam earlier this year and has received positive reviews, so it should be a solid addition to the Game Pass lineup. Dome Keepermeanwhile, is a villainous action platformer with a very similar art style Metroid series.
Between those games and Marvel Cosmic Invasions co-op beat 'em up action, December 2025 is already a pretty impressive month for the subscription service. And the thing is, this isn't even the full list of games coming in December. More December 2025 Game Pass titles are expected to be announced next week, so subscribers should stay tuned for more information on that front.

There are exciting new Game Pass games to look forward to in the near future, but there are also a handful of titles on their way out. On November 30, Game Pass will say goodbye Barbie Project Friendship2023 Lords of the Fallen game, Octopath Traveler and its sequels, and SteamWorld Build. At this point, there isn't quite enough time to play through these games before they are removed – the giant Octopath Traveler especially games – but at least subscribers can still try before they buy.
Meanwhile, Game Pass subscribers will also want to catch The Game Awards on December 11. It's highly likely that more Game Pass announcements will be made during the show, so fans should be sure to tune in.
