Xbox Game Pass add Multi-Goty-awarded Game

Hades is now available on Xbox Game Pass. The award-winning ARPG is the eighth new title that makes it to the subscription service in September 2025, as well as the 116th new Xbox Game Passout since the beginning of the year.

Developed by San Francisco-based SupGranta games, Hades is an action -RPG that throws players like Zagreus, the son of the Greek god for the underground that the game itself got its name after. Zagreu's goal is to flee from the underground, which is easier said than done, and will require many attempts. Gameplay loop was designed to complement this narrative hook, as Hades Is a roguelike with procedural journey and metapergression that makes every subsequent driving a little easier. It even has non-linear story progression that actively reaches a huge amount of authored dialogue and events based on what the player accomplished on its latest run.

Supergiat's critically acclaimed title was added to the Xbox Game Pass on September 19. This arrival marks the beginning of its second stint on the service; Hades Originally added to the Xbox Game Pass in August 2021 and left after one year and two weeks. Assuming that Supergigant and Microsoft reached a similar license agreement this time, Roguelike ARPG could end up with Xbox Game Pass subscribers until the end of September 2026.

From today, Hades Has a “powerful” grade on OpenCritic, with an average score of 94 and an almost flawless 99% review recommendation. Over at Steam, it has over 132,000 “overwhelmingly positive” user reviews. It has also received several awards for this year's awards, including Goty Accolade at the 24th annual Dice Awards. Regardless of metric, Hades generally regarded as one of the best roguelics ever made. The addition to Microsoft's subscription service should therefore strengthen the platform's genre lineup.

Xbox Game Pass is also confirmed that they lose four titles at the end of September 2025. The departures consist of Terra Invicta And three Ninja Gaiden game-SigmaThe Sigma 2and Ng3 razor. Further announcements can follow on September 25, when Microsoft has its Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025 broadcast. In 2024, the company used the event to shade several titles on the Xbox Game Pass.
