Xbox Game Pass add 2023 Open-World RPG

Assassin's Creed Mirage is now available for Xbox Game Pass Members. This is the third title that reaches the subscription service in August 2025 and the 98th new Xbox Game Pass publishing of the year.

Launched in October 2023, Assassin's Creed Mirage I was imagined as a return to the roots of the series, with a gameplay loop and world design that pulls from the earliest posts in the franchise. It is still built with the technology that Ubisoft developed for the postSyndicate Payments, thus integrates elements as a skill tree and enemy tagging with a bird companion. Nevertheless, the game emphasizes Stealth, Parkour and Open assignments that are largely canceled in a single place, all of which are intended to appeal to the fans of the series' original formula.

Assassin's Creed Mirage debuts on Xbox Game Pass

Only two months shy from second anniversary, Assassin's Creed Mirage Went to the Xbox Game Pass and debuted at Microsoft's subscription service during the early afternoon hours (ET) on August 7. Since it is not a day-one edition, Ubisoft's 2023 Open-World RPG is available above all non-core levels of Xbox Game Pass. It can be played on the last two generations of Xbox consoles and PC, as well as via Xbox Cloud Gaming, currently an exclusive benefit for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is the third title that debuts on the Xbox Game Pass in August 2025. It is also the highest ranked among this month's supplement so far, based on its “strong” rating on OpenCritic, with an average score of 76 and a 73% review recommendation. While it came under the critical reception achieved by two of the latest main lines –Killer's Creed Valhalla and ShadowsBoth have average points in the low 1980s-it received widespread praise for its assignment design, social stealth mechanics and detailed depiction of the 9th century Baghdad.

Overall fans of classic Assassin's Creed Games with an Xbox Game Pass subscription should find this supplement to be well worth their time, especially if they have not yet got a chance to play it. Mirage is the first part of the franchise to join the subscription service since Killer's Creed Valhalla Added to Xbox Game Pass in early 2024. Valhalla is still part of the XGP content catalog to this day, as well as Assassin's Creed Origins and Odysse.

Move forward, Foreigners: Fireteam Elite is scheduled to reach the subscription service on August 12, followed by the early access version of 9 kings Two days later. Xbox Game Pass will also lose multiple titles on August 15, including the critically acclaimed Persona 3 reload.
