Teamwork benefits have barely been touched upon Dead in daylightbut their future already looks uncertain due to some circumstances. Of course, not all benefits in Dead in daylight will be relevant in the meta. Given the large amount of benefits, that would be impossible. However, Teamwork perks have a few drawbacks that hold them back compared to almost every other Survivor perk. At least they have some issues that need to be resolved; at worst, Dead in daylight may not post more Teamwork benefits.
Introduced in Dead in daylights Tools of Torment update, Teamwork perks are one of the rarest types in the game, with only two existing so far. These perks are Teamwork: Collective Stealth and Teamwork: Power of Two. It should be noted that both of these perks came out with Tools of Torment, with no other Teamwork perks introduced since then. Since it's now been over a year since any Teamwork perks were released, their place in the game may be in a shaky position.
There are also only two Invocation perks and not only are the Invocations newer but the other one was released in the last chapter.

Dead By Daylight's Junji Ito Collab should be the spark that starts a forest fire
After upcoming Dead by Daylight skins based on Junji Ito characters launch next year, the prolific horror manga artist's work may inspire even more.
Dead by Daylight's Two Teamwork Perks have some major problems
Dead by Daylight's Teamwork Perks are awkward to use
A glaring flaw in the Teamwork benefit design Dead in daylight are their activation requirements. Collective Stealth requires the user to be healed by someone else, while Power of two requires the user to successfully heal someone. Not only that, but the benefit effects only remain as long as the user and the other person involved remain close to each other. The actual effects, hiding scratch marks and a haste bonus respectively, are decent, but not strong enough to make up for the steep requirements. At the moment, both Teamwork perks are completely outclassed by other perks with similar effects.
Teamwork benefits need an overhaul to be more effective
Some serious revisions may need to be made in Dead in daylights future for the Teamwork benefits to become relevant. Specifically, both of their requirements combined are far too restrictive. One possibility is that the perks trigger a temporary boost that isn't limited by proximity, while another option is to have an effect similar to Dwight's Leader perk, with a good effect that only works within a small radius to balance it out. Future Teamwork perks, as well as reworks of the first two, could take this into account. By doing so, they may have a chance to become more widely used.
Survivor Lore can make it harder to find new teamwork perks
Teamwork perks face another obstacle unrelated to gameplay, and that's the backstories Dead in daylights survivors. The survivors who came with the Teamwork perks, Renato and Thalita, were brother and sister and it makes sense that they would have at least one perk that revolves around working together. Another Teamwork perk would likely require another duo of Survivors or a Survivor who has a background that involves working as a team or having close ties with others. Otherwise, such a benefit may feel out of place. It's an unexpected complication, but one that makes Teamwork perks somewhat difficult to place on new Survivors.
Among Dead in daylights benefit types, they are probably the most overlooked because they don't stand out in any way. They are not plentiful, and any niche role they may have is overshadowed by less situational perks. That said, future Teamwork perks will definitely need a change in design to have any impact Dead in daylight.
