He almost died but never gave up
Bakugo played an important role in the last story, because he met everything for one with his classmates. But as expected, Tomura was the toughest enemy they had ever met so far, and for a while it seemed as if no side could win.
Shigaraki wants to use her powers to create a “new world”, one under his rule, of course, where everyone would be the same and that would be peace – at least, that's how he tries to convince them to leave the battle. But Bakugo remembered that his friends worked hard and gave their best. Bakugo then releases a powerful attack and basically rejects what Tomura had said and shows how much he has grown.
Although his attack was powerful, it was not enough and he stopped critically hurt. Despite this, Bakugo used all its strength to resist and continue fighting. In an emotional and exciting battle, Bakugo tried a final move, but he apparently ended up dead. Deku was shocked to see Bakugo lying on the ground in a pool of blood – but in fact Katsuki still lived and he never gave up.
For everyone for one, the last fight became a personal question, and he was determined to kill Bakugo. Fortunately, everything was defeated for one, but Bakugo was on the verge of death and fainted. Although Bakugo was the most important character in the last segments in the fight, all defeat for a team was. Later, he recovered from his injuries and returned to his normal life.
He actually aroused new powers during the battle (and he saved all power), but he could not use his new abilities for their full potential.

Can Bakugo still be number 1?
Bakugo aims to become number 1, but his personality seems to get in the way. His explosive qualities are not only related to his properties, but also to his behavior, which leads to a general bad opinion about him – even though everyone knows how hard he fought against everyone for one, shown on TV. In the last chapter, he even screams at a fan trying to film him, so he is seen as difficult, even though he is powerful.
Bakgugo deserves to be number 1 or at least rank a little higher, but He will have to do a lot of self -grazing to get to the top position. While he has come a long way, he still has a lot to learn (and this can even lead to a spin-off series).
