Everstone Studios releases one of the biggest updates to date for Where winds meetexpands the map by a third while adding tons of new content for players to explore. After the launch of Where winds meet in November, developer Everstone Studios has continued to release updates and relies heavily on player feedback. The studio has been very active on social media, engaging with its players and keeping them informed about upcoming features and updates as well.
Earlier this month, Everstone Studios revealed a major content roadmap for December 2025 Where winds meetgiving players an idea of what they can expect to see each week. The beginning of the month saw players add two more Jianghu Legacy quests to the game with Twelve Years of Feud and An Unholy Prophecy. However, Week 2 brought the biggest update the game has seen to date.
Where the winds meet, we add a familiar vehicle mechanic
Free-to-play RPG Where Winds Meet rolls out a vehicle-building mechanic similar to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Ultrahand ability.
Update 1.1 for Where winds meet adds a huge amount of content to the popular free-to-play title. As part of the update, the Roaring Sands map has been unlocked and, according to Everstone Studios, adds nearly a third of the explorable space to the current map of Kaifeng. In addition to the massive new space, players have more quests to complete, including Dragons Appear, Legend of the River Master, and Death of the True Dragon. Where winds meet hasn't been afraid to reward its players for their patience, and the same can be said for this update as Everstone is giving all players 100 Echo Jade due to the maintenance shutdown.
For players looking for more challenges, Everstone has added another challenging battle Where winds meets already extensive list of world bosses. Feng Ruzhi is the latest World Boss encounter to be added, along with the new River Master quest.
Velvet Shade has also been added Where winds meets current factions and can be unlocked once Jianghu Legacy: Shadows in Bloom is completed and Everstone is preparing to open a special store where players can purchase unique options for the sect's appearance and other items. Along with the cult, Gossip Paper is a new game mechanic that Everstone teases, helping players track down clues and pass on secret information. There is a new challenge in the game called the Taiping Mausoleum, which tasks players with completing tests and going as far as they can for unique rewards, before the challenge resets every Friday.
Outside of the new content, Where winds meet is now available on mobile, allowing players to take the game on the go, whether for iOS or Android. The launch is accompanied by some limited events such as The Great Faceologist and Fresh Wind, New Year. The former is available now through the end of December, while the latter is available on December 11, 14, and 30.
For many fans, Where winds meet was already a rich experience with tons of content at launch, so a free add-on of this magnitude just a month after launch is likely to be very well received by the community. It is clear that Everstone values its players, especially after Where winds meet achieved huge milestones at launch and constantly thanked them through posts on social media and in each of the game's patch notes, so it seems fans will have a lot more to look forward to when the calendar turns to 2026. For now, players will have to wait to find out what that is.
