The world of Where winds meet is full of quirky characters and interesting NPCs, and some of the furriest are those in cat form. The Jade Gate Pass region of Hexi takes after the previous game locations and instills a sense of catlessness in the side quests and collections you can complete.
Cat Plays are little kitties around the map that will reward you for petting them. However, one of the kittens can only be unlocked after completing the Feline Fixation quest. Complete the mission and unlock the Immortal Cat.
Every other Cat Play kitty is available, but the Immortal Cat will only appear when this quest is completed.
Questlines you must complete first
The Feline Fixation side quest only becomes available after completing the previous quests, A tassel and a story and The last retreat. Before these stories are finished, the area of Stonewall Hold is too dangerous to complete the Cat Play portion of the Sentient Beings collection.
Once the village is safe, you have the option to finish this collection.

How to complete Feline Fixation
To begin this quest, go to Cat Play the kitten “Pawsie” and pet him five times. The cat can be found at the base of the tower, which is southeast of the Stonewall Hold Ruins Boundary Stone.
After petting the kitten five times, you'll get cat fever, which will temporarily make the screen go weird.
After the quest marker, track down and find the NPC named “Immortal Hair” who has a white cat sitting next to him. They will request that you get a fever from “Birdman”, which is a nearby Utuk Raptor.
Defeat the Raptor to get the feather. When you give the feather to the immortal hair, a black cat will appear.
The cure won't work, and petting the black cat will make you worse. It's when another NPC appearsand they will be called 'Immortal Cap'. When you approach this man, he will show you a series of cat drawingswhich doesn't help either.
How to meet the immortal cat
After the Immortal Cap fails to help, he will abandon you and you will collapse. When you wake up, you will be surrounded by catsone of which is the white immortal cat.
The Immortal Cat will agree to cure you, but only if you agree to be their servant. Getting along with the cat will heal you without any consequences, though if your mindset is over 60, you can't agree.
After the Immortal Cat cures you of Cat Fever, you will get many rewards to complete the mission. You can then visit the immortal cat again inside the village of Stonewall Hold and pet it to complete your Sentient Beings Cat Play fundraising for the region.
