Windward is a quest line that keeps you busy, sending So'lek and Iley through the skies to help the Wind Traders escape the Kinglor forest after a disaster. Here's everything you need to know to get Wind Traders safe.

Lovart Part One Quest Walkthrough
After complete the solo mission at the beginning of the DLC you will immediately be able to look for the traveling merchants who were on Hometree. Take off in search of their missing gondola, heading towards ikran rookerie. Continue southwest until you see the great gondola enclosed within the rocks. Land nearby and talk to the Wind Traders.

Release the gondola
Although they narrowly escaped the carnage at Hometree, their gondola did not make it far. Use your ikran, tear down all the withered vines keeping the gondola trapped.
Thick green vines can't be broken by your icran, so focus on the brown ones.
When the vines are no longer a problem, Ya'fatar asks you to do so reset the tools which were scattered along the cliffs. You don't have to go far to find them, as they are hanging bags from the nearby rocks. You can take them on your ikranso you don't have to climb.
Reach out onto Iley and grab the bags hanging from the vines along the cliffs. Take all four back to Ya'fatar to learn about your next goal.
Find Crash Site
After obtaining everything needed to repair the gondola, follow Kukulope on your ikran. You will go north towards the last known location of the other gondola, where you are going get over the scene of the accident on the floating islands. Land nearby and continue the rest of the way on foot.
Like you examine the burning wreckageyou continue on the island to find Leykuni surrounded by RDA soldiers. Dispatch the AMP suits and foot soldiers quickly before rushing to Leykuni to see if he's okay.
His uncle, Ulinay, is injured inside the cave, but it is currently cordoned off.
To enter the cave you must need to touch the purple flower buds around the cave's upper entrance. Search along the cliffs to the northeast and hit each of the large purple flowers to enter the cave from the top navigate down to where Ulinay is waiting. Unfortunately, your reunion is interrupted by incoming RDA.
How to defeat Mangkwan Raider Taram
Exit the cave to encounter waves of RDA soldiers and that evil Mangkwan Raider, Taram. Taram uses firearms and moves at great speed, so you want keep your distance so he doesn't throw you back.
Instead of wasting time on the RDA soldiers, focus your fire on Taram. Don't bother fighting fire with arrows, as he's far too nimble for anyone but an excellent archer. Instead, use your assault rifle to fill Taram with holes until his health is low enough to use a finisher.
When Taram is complete, and you have collected a trophy from your kill, finish off the RDA soldiers and return to Ulinay inside the cave with Kukulope.
Windward Part Two Quest Walkthrough
With Ulinay's fate sealed, Kukulope tells you about a camp hidden in the boundless area. Get there and wait at the camp until she comes at night. Get off with her find kreytu'um who has escaped, whom she intends to lure out with a cigarette butt.
Where to find leaf butterflies
Search for glowing hives as tall as So'lekbuzzing with Bladewing Moths inside. Interact with the nest to release the moths then follow the dust's glowing trail to find the hidden fruit. Collect the fruitthen search the nearby area for another hive and start over.
If you lost track of the Bladewing Moths, use Photo Mode to pause and look around. The moths won't go too far without you, but they move fast!
Once you have found all three fruits, you must do so climb to the highest peak in the range to meet Kukulope. You can't ride Iley up thereas he would scare away the kreytu'um, so you must go on foot.
There are several paths that lead to top of the boundless rangeso just keep moving up. Cukulope is waiting for you on the highest peak facing westso talk to her when you get there. Shell lure in kreytu'um so you can jump on the back.
How to defeat RDA in the floating mountains
Your peaceful journey is interrupted when RDA arrives to cause trouble. You must act quickly knock the scorpions out of the air before the kreytu'um takes too much damage.
Aim for the rotating blades! If you're having trouble, switch to riding Iley to get closer.
When you get to the place where the vines are blocking your way, you have to do it use your ikran smash to clear the way forward. But reinforcements will continue to arrive until you do. Use the explosives on the floating platforms to deal with them quickly.
Later, when you separate from Kukulope, use the rocks to your advantage to hide behind cover and jump onto airships. Middle the island is filled with dapofet pods for healing if you need it.
Windward Part Three Quest Walkthrough
After you defeat the RDA here you have to meet Wind Traders. But when you get there, the island is on fire and it looks like everyone left. Examine the fire, the fallen tree, the dead soldier, and the broken harness to get an idea of what happened and where to go from here.
Where to find wind traders
Head east until you see the familiar gondola structurethen land and make your way through the overgrown outpost to Ya'fatar. Talk to her when you are ready to go, because they must leave immediately.
However, time is short and RDA is on its way. You have to prepare the outpost to defend the Wind Traders until they are ready to leave. Fortunately, Priya has some ideas.
Where to find the rocket launcher
Follow Priya's instructions, go east into the outpost to find a giant handle attached to the yellow generator box. Drag it to restore power to the outpost allowing you to use its defensive capabilities and supplies.
After pulling the lever, fire arrows at the red battery boxes on top of the two storage rooms on the Comms Outpost Echo. In one of the storage rooms you will find a rocket launcher. Make sure that load up ammo and grenades before the RDA arrives.
Defend Comms Outpost Echo
There is several waves of AMP suits and soldiers which will be inserted. Use the explosives around the crowd control outpost and hide in the storerooms if you need to breathe.
Used rocket launcher to take down airships before they can drop off some more reinforcements and buy you some time. There is plenty of room for cover, and you will not fight alone. With Ya'fatar by your side, all you have to do is stay alive.
Once the battle is over, check out Ya'fatar to see if the Wind Traders are ready to leave. This ends the questline and you will be awarded with the Hawnutu'un gear set for So'lek.
