Where is y'sai in monster hunter wilds

During the first chapter in Monster Hunter WildsPlayers will encounter a lost child and will reunite them with their brother Y'ssai. While he may just seem to be a story -focused NPC, Y'ssai has a certain use later in the game after you have reached high rank.
