What is the anti-rope coil at the top?

Unlike the regular rope coil, which distributes a rope downwards, the anti-rope coil works in the opposite direction. Help teammates: A player below can use the floating rope to climb up to the player who placed it. This makes it an excellent tool for teamwork and getting everyone to the next step in the climb.
