IN Pokemon pocketPokemon tools are coach cards that improve the cards they are linked to. Their effects vary, from increasing HP and increasing the damage to gradually chipping on the opponent's HP. But they all serve the same purpose: Increase a Pokemon's statistics or abilities.

As a coach card, Pokemon tools are played in the same way as Pokemon pocketS item card. At the beginning of each turn you can attach as many tools as you want different Pokémon. However, each Pokémon can only contain one tool at a time, which prevents you from attaching another unless the existing tool is discarded.

Here are the rules for playing pokemon tools in TCG:

• One tool per pokemon: Each pokemon can only have one tool. A new tool cannot be attached unless the existing is discarded.
• No limit for tool brackets per lap: As an object card, there are no restrictions on the number of tools you can play per turn. As long as there is Pokemon without tools on the board, you can equip them. Since a maximum of four Pokémon can be played, you can attach up to four tools per turn.
• Tools can be replaced if discarded: If an opponent throws your tool or self -discs after fulfilling a condition, you can attach a new tool in place.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion introduced the first party of tool cards in Pokemon Pocket, with three unique tools: Lum Berry, Rocky Helmet and Giant Cape. Here is what each of them does.

Lumberries

“At the end of each turn, if Pokémon this card is attached is affected by any special conditions, it recovers from them all and discards this card.”

Special conditions are debuff like sleeping, poisoning, burnt, paralyzed or confused. When Lum Berry is linked to a pokemon that is affected by one or more of these conditions, it immediately cures them. However, the balance is that LUM Berry self -discs during activation, making it a disposable tool.

Stone helmet

“If Pokemon this card is linked to is at the active location and is damaged by an attack from your opponent's Pokemon, 20 damage to the attacking Pokémon.”

Rocky helmet reflects Druddigon's rough skin ability. When an opponent damages a Pokémon equipped with this tool, they take 20 instant damage. However, Rocky Helmet only works when attached to an active Pokémon. If an opponent attacks a bench Pokémon wearing this tool, they will not take any damage in return.

Many consider rocky helmet as the best tool card in Pokemon pocket. It can be attached to Druddigon to make it an even more deadly tank or in pairs with other bulky Pokemon to create your own version of Druddigon.

Giant Card

“Pokemon This card is attached to get +20 hp.”

Giant Cape works in the same way as the Potion card, but instead of healing after damage has been taken, this tool increases a Pokemon's Max HP right from the start. For example, if a Pokémon has 140 hp, it increases with Giant Cape its HP to 160.

Together with Pokemon tool cards, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion introduced Pokemon which directly synergizes with tools. Currently include these Pachirisu ex, Skarmory, Starly and Rotom. The table below describes how each of them interacts with Pokemon tools.

Fortunately, Pokemon pocket Introduced two calculators to Pokemon tools in the same expansion: Star and Rotom. To counteract an opponent's tool, you can use Starly's Pluck Move, which removes the tool before attacking, or Rotom's attack laser, which handles another 30 damage if the opponent has a tool attached.
