Season 02 Reloaded went live War zone on March 11, while Black Ops Royale launched on March 12 at 9:00 PM PT / March 13 at 12:00 AM ET. Call of Duty: Warzone players want a major feature to fix Black Ops Royale

The Call of Duty: Warzone community is calling on developer Raven Software to make a major change to the game's new Black Ops Royale mode.

Warzone's March 13 update adds a Win Streak Tracker

Shortly after its last drop of seasonal content, Raven rolled out another one Call of Duty: Warzone patch on March 13th. As is usually the case with such follow-on updates, the new release is much narrower in scope and primarily focused on fixing technical issues that were introduced or exacerbated by the previous update. So the patch only contains a quality of life addition, which comes in the form of a Win Streak progress tracker now available in Black Ops Royale.

The March 13 patch also fixes four issues related to spectators, revives, vehicles, and armor behavior. According to the official patch notes, the fixes address a flashing red health indicator while looking at a teammate who had used a Trauma Kit, missing HUD elements after a wingsuit revival, back seat ejections tied to Polaris' “Climb to Roof” feature, and Reactive Armor failing to regenerate armor after a revival.

With War zones Black Ops Royale mode is the highlight of the new Call of Duty season, Ravens developers will likely focus on refining their overall experience for a while yet. Black Ops Royale differs from the game's classic roster by moving much more of the match development to the round itself. Instead of centering early decision-making around cash flow, load time, and Buy Station access, the mode emphasizes looting, rare weapon upgrades, consumable perks, and movement tools like wall jumps and wingsuits.

The broader structure also changes how War zone manages survivability and recovery. Players start Black Ops Royale with 150 base health and 150 armor, while systems like Trauma Kits, Armor Vests, Redeploy Tokens, and Redeploy Towers are meant to extend engagements and give groups more ways to stay in the conflict. The result is a playlist that places less emphasis on the usual economy loop and more on how teams gradually build momentum through exploration and completing activities. Goals now play a bigger role in that process. Activities such as Surveillance Drones, Strongbox Crack Events, Relay Antennas, Supply Drops, and Cradle Breaches serve as important sources of rewards, while Cradle Zones can offer more valuable loot and exotic weapons. Taken together, these mechanics make Black Ops Royale feel less like a straightforward take on standard Warzone and more like a parallel ruleset designed around layered progression.

Outside of Black Ops Royale, Season 02 Reloaded also introduced several progression hooks through limited-time content and playlist support. The Altitude Tactics event includes rewards like the Voyak KT-3 Assault Rifle, while the Counter Skies Event Pass includes the Swordfish A1 Marksman Rifle and the Echo 12 Backlash Launcher Kit. Raven also updated the perk pool in Battle Royale and Resurgence, replacing Alertness with Momentum, Bomb Squad with Berserker, and Tracker with Hunter, along with economy tweaks like adding Advanced UAVs to Buy Stations for $40,000 and raising Specialist to $35,000.
