Video games that would be much better with zombies

Of the classic video game genres, everyone remembers their first zombie game. For many, it is a stack title as one of Resident Evil Games, or even a newer heavy-hitter like Days Gone. Whether it is survival, squad-based or pure horror, there seems to be no stop to the endless horde of zombie games that come out.

However, sometimes you play a game that feels a little slower, more relaxed or even unhappy. There are many ways to remedy one of these games, but one of the most fun ways would be to add a good old zombie (or more likely a large number of them). Transforming some of these games into zombie games can be a distance, but we can all agree that a view of the undead always adds a little more excitement to games like these.

Battlefield 2042

World War … Z?

The Battlefield series has been a cornerstone of FPS games for decades now. Neck and neck with the Call of Duty series, each fan has its own preference, but Battlefield 2042 threw some long-lasting fans. A futuristic environment that felt done before, some missed opportunities at launch and a surprising lack of replay value meant in 2042 was left by most people fairly quickly.

The addition of the Battlefield portal injected some life into it, but maybe something more crazy, like adding zombies, would really get the game back? Futurist weapon against a horde of enemies, either AI or something similar to a Halo -infected position, may be the key to getting the player to count back.

Stardew Valley

A ghost house

Nobody says Stardew Valley is a bad game. There has been a heavy hitter in the cozy game and the SIM genres for several years now, and there are no signs that it will soon be out of style. Unfortunately, not everyone loves the idea of starting their own farm, and the periodic move to a skeletal cave is not enough.

But consider an optional zombie mode for your farm? The ability to not only take care of your crops, but to defend yourself against the wrong undead can give a little more excitement to a game that so far is only suitable for playing with LO-Fi-Beats. It doesn't have to be something that is compulsory, but an optional game mode can open up the game to more players.

Look at dogs 2

Tech meets the undead

The first Watch Dogs game promised to compete with games like GTA and other open world settings, and it did a pretty good job with the extra interest in a technically hacking city at your whim. Unfortunately, Watch Dogs 2 failed to deliver with the same energy. It would have been nice to add a little more excitement to the series, maybe with your favorite undead nightmares?

It would have been a pretty stretch of the action, but certainly an anti-establishment and technology game could have gone Resident Evil route and gone with a Biohazard who went wrong. Using your hacking tools and driving skills to avoid the zombie threat would have been a fun new way to take them separately from the regular duct band and nail bats.

A plot that could have continued in Legion, to be able to choose different characters with unique skills to fight zombies as well.

Skull and legs

Shake me timber

The pirate genre has been something that the developers have been trying perfectly for decades now. Everyone has their favorite adventure at High Seas, but not every pirate game may be the notorious Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Skull & Bones tried to make a semi-realistic trip on the deck of your Galeon to reality, but unfortunately the game was only short because of some clumsy game and a world that felt missing from interesting features.

What could have helped it, maybe not in realism, but in the tension area would be to add zombies. Like Sea of Thieves, its skeletal enemies, to go from island to eye after tax and supplies and avoid zombies would have been a pretty exciting thing to experience.

Not to speak, the title of the game is already well suited for a zombie adventure.

No man's heaven

Space zombies!

No man's sky has had a tumultuous past. Fans that have been doing the game will be too aware of the ups and downs that the game has seen since the launch date. Thankfully, thanks to hard work from the team behind it, it has finally seen their day in the sun with much more streamlined game and some exciting additions as far as the content goes.

Whether it would have been a good idea at launch, or even now, to add zombies to it would have been an interesting twist. Not many games have tried Space-Travel/Zombie mix, which means that no man's sky could revolutionize it. Mix with the wide range of planets to explore, and the survival mechanics that already exist, and you would have a fun game that was less about battle and more about making the best of an interstellar epidemic.

Red Dead Redemption 2

The return of a fan favorite

Cowboy fans and followers of Rockstar game flock to Red Dead Redemption 2. It's easy to see why with a dramatic open world, incredible history and memorable characters. While countless people spent weeks of their time fixing beans at the campfire, others felt that the game was trying to expand too far from their predecessor to keep them entertained.

In addition, many noticed a game mode that they thought would certainly be part of the sequel as the first Red Dead Redemption later added: undead nightmare. A complete zombie mode would fight against some of the inflating after the story that the game has with a simpler game mode. In addition, it would make a pretty fun full circle moment to tie it back to the first redemption.

Sure, there is now the strange speech supplement to the game, but it does not feel the same as the complete undead nightmare experience.

Cities: Skylines

Plans like no one else

Management Sims and City Builders is a great way to spend your time planning the city, or even land, of your dreams. Cities: Skylines is a game that gives you almost all aspects you want when it comes to planning a city, from street groves, to finances, to how you can keep the lamps lit.

Although there are Kataklysmic things that can happen to your curious metropolis, the game can always take it further by adding a good oil zombie -apocalypse option. It would not necessarily be a tower defense variety, but to see how long your custom city can withstand the variables in a zombie outbreak. Perhaps real urban builders should note.

War Thunder

Not historically correct

Like others swim, War Thunder takes the idea of determining the realism to the world of military vehicles. Although it is a good game for History Buffs and Milsim fans to meet (and leak things on the internet together), it loses steam for those who do not argue about which Russian jet from the 1950s is the fastest.

To remedy this, what about an alternative position where you use these historically accurate weapons against zombie hordes? It would be a great way not to add infantry to the game as others suggest, but still has a different level to the already multifaceted game.

Gas station simulator

One of the more niche games that have come out in recent years, gas station simulator, is just that; A sim where you run your own gas station complete with pumps and snacks for tired travelers.

When rebuilding, repair and running out of inconvenience, teens are one thing, what happens if an extra horror element was added to it? Graveyard shifts at your own gas station can become quite literal when the undead starts turning on your door. Repairing everything and cleaning for the following morning after surviving would be a fun twist that would make the game go a little faster too.
