2026 will be a big year for LEGO for several reasons. Just this week, LEGO unveiled its new Smart Play system, which uses smart pieces to create deeper immersion in its sets, starting with a trio of Star Wars offers in March. Plus, LEGO kicks off its big partnership with Pokemon this year, including some rumors that range from affordable to downright huge. But there's one upcoming LEGO set that has me very excited, and new information suggests that it's exactly what fans have been waiting for.

The Deku Tree set released two years ago set a high bar for what Nintendo and LEGO could create, with its dual-build concept where you could either create the Deku Tree from LoZ: Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild. Ganon has existed in many forms and is easily one of the most recognizable villains throughout video games, so it makes perfect sense that he would be featured as part of the next LEGO set.
Speculation had already suggested that Ganon would be a big part of The Legend of Zelda set, which was teased by the reveal video late last year. In that video you can see Link in his Ocarina of time tunic watches as a massive, shadowy figure looms closer. You can also see Zelda in what appears to be her OoT dress after the big time jump in the game.
Speaking of those Ganon forms, we still don't know how the villain will appear in LEGO The Legend of Zelda set. Probably if this is a large scale set like a diorama or a scene from Ocarina of timewhen it makes sense that it's Beast Ganon and not just Gerudo from Ganon.
LEGO did some great things, like bringing Bowser to life for their LEGO set, so it would be perfect if Ganon got the same treatment. The intricacy of Bowser's build makes every detail shine and there are just as many, if not more, cool details on Beast Ganon. As said, I hope LEGO includes a Gerudo Ganon minifigure so we can have a Triforce trio for our collection.
The bad news is that if the rumors from last year are true, then this is LEGO Ganon The Legend of Zelda the set will not be as big as the Deku Tree (2,500+ pieces) or Bowser (2,800+ pieces). Rumor has it that LEGO has set its sights on just over 1,000 piecesmaking it on a smaller scale compared to many of the more elaborate sets that LEGO has released in recent years.

The good news, though, is that the number of pieces suggests that this will be a more affordable LEGO set, which we need more of these days. The LEGO Legend of Zelda Deku Tree set is expensive at $250 and many of the more exciting IP collaborations that Stranger Things Creel House has existed in the same price range. If this set were to come in around $100 or $150, then it would be much more accessible to many Zelda fans.
