Toby Fox has officially shared more details about when the long-awaited Delta rune Chapter 5 will be released, confirming that it will launch sometime in 2026. Toby Fox's recent updates on Deltarune's progress have also already given fans a hint of the game's future. In Fox's development update in December, he mentioned that many members of the Deltarune team will likely move on to Chapter 6 “in a few months.” Toby Fox had even previously suggested in September that at least one developer had already begun preliminary work on Chapter 6, claiming they were working on a new enemy “bullet pattern”. Given Chapter 5's planned release date of 2026, Chapter 6 of Delta rune not expected to launch until 2027 at the earliest.
